What a real hero is Ceneral Betweded. Eseyas is hell bent to dedtroy the people of Eritrea

  • Olana July 11, 2013

    Dear Assenna

I was saying this man should be some one very important in the Eritrean politics When I see his picture in your www among other martayers and Prisoners. Now from his letters you post I can see he was just an innocent tegadaly who did not understand the affairs of two countries and completely ignorant of the EPLF Shenanigans business in Addis and other african countries. If what he wrote is true, the then Esayas was very wise to apply the give and take principle. If I assume the letter was written in 1992 or after, Mr Biteweded should have also included the amount of Dollars the EPLF mafias collected in Addid in an illegal way and the value of resoures like coffee, wood, teffee and marble etc

      Dear Olana.

This letter was written some time between 1991-1992. No one had any idea what the EPLF was going to do in Addis. We all knew about the illegal business after 1994. How on earth do you expect Bitweded to know about it and include in his letter. For your information, what he predicted then have been happening now. He kept saying officially to his friends and colleagues “if we don’t work openly and legally, we will have a big problem with Ethiopians some time in the future” and yet it became true in May 1998. Do you think Bitweded was naive? Bitweded has never ever accused of any wrong doing in his life. He deserves respect more than any one of us.

    Dear Godefa

Thank you so much for presenting the far sighted patriot General Bitiweded`s written comments in the first years of our independence regarding the use of Assab Port. I really appreciate Gen Bitweded and I have come to understand the reason why he is being jailed. Hope I will have a full picture when the remaining articles are posted.

Keep it up the excellent job

I think this guy deserves to be where he is for a long time to come.
I am not sure if he suffering from acute greed or he is absolutely ignorant, but either way,I think you have exposed him well.
He is jailed for his stubbornness not for having a different view(pure shifta).

    A truely tragic figure!
This innocent Tegadalay believes he is defending the inerest of his country and trying to formulate a foreign policy from “ginmbar Asseb” with having the knowledg and authority to do so.
He even bosts for having stolen “Katrame” which belongsto Ethiopia. He does’n seem to understand that the war has just ended.
But the real tragedy is that he is made to suffer for such innocent stubbornness which could have been handled adminstratively.Isu the Devil has taken it as personnal confrontation!

Mr. Abel, if you don’t know him very well why don’t shut your dirty mouth. if you want to know about him read his article that he wrote when he was in high school in early seventh….that was summer time when he applied for work with gold company in debarwa.he is a briliant guy. so Mr. abel don’t rush to judge people or don’t be a messanger for devil.

  • habtom July 11, 2013

It was sometime in1972 when he applied for a job after the end of a school year to what was a Japanese copper mining company in Debarwa. But job offers depended on who one knows and he wasn’t able to get one. He wrote a letter and gave it to the person responsible by hand. A school friend of Bitweded later said that the letter contained threatening material. His friend had told him not to deliver the letter and that he could be imprisoned; to which Bitweded replied, “Even if I am imprisoned, the truth will never be imprisoned. Moreover, you should know that whoever puts me in prison will never sleep in peace.”

  • abate July 11, 2013

well guys: it is rude and inhuman to say he deserves to be in prison. one thing: beteweded is knavishly naïve who hardly understands international laws. I am amazed to see his recommendation on taxing goods destined to Ethiopia (goods in transit) but we should give him the benefit of innocence as he is simply tegadaly with crude nationalism.
