What a hero, fearless, honest, intelligent man indeed!I have never heard such kind of heroism in my whole life. Pilot Dejen declared his freedom by his own. I am really proud of him. Happy for him so much for enduring such unbelieveable betrayal by his own comrades and of course the whole government. I do not think i will forget this brave man the rest of my life. He have taught me what real hope mean as far as i am alive on this fucken world and even in the darkest times. At the beginning of the story, I was so sorry for him to being betrayed by the struggle he paid his whole life in such a petty way and i am so happy to see him free after such an amazing wisdom of his. His story is being suspending me more than any film i have ever watched so far. He is already in my heroes list. Long live Ma Hero!!

This is incredible histroy made by one of the future leaders of the cursed land and I hope Dejen as his name spells out shall play a roll in reversing Eritrea to be a blessed country. After hearing to his interviews I realized how smart and brave he is and there is not doubt that he will have a decisive contribution in bringing the downfall of this bloody dictator. Eritrea needs youngsters like Dejen to campain in wining the hearts and mind of YPFDJ in diaspora who are totally blindfolded under the pressure of their national crises.

Assenna – Bad call on Interview 6 with Dejen!

This is one of few Assenna reporting that missed the mark! Giving the enemy on how the thought process of prisoners is to escape or do anything else from prison or “Eritrean Alcatraz” should not be the job of Assenna. That is informing the sick government in Eritrea on what is missing or needs to be done to make prison worst that it already is. Let the sick Eritrean government do their own analysis as to what went wrong. This is pretty bad reporting from Assenna side.

I rather have you trim down to key points and move on to the condition of prisoners and other facts that exposes the cruel Eritrean government. Else, you (Assenna) is just feeding the Eritrean government on what tighten up next.

That is my thought but good thing Dejen is free!)

      mike,
U are a retarded PFDJ. we are inspired by this man and we are planning to do our own.

        Dejen 2,
1 don’t call names. 2.try to understand what Mike is saying.
I crossed the Eritrea-Sudan border when I was getting out of Eritrea. You know what I didn’t tell how I got out even for close friends and families, because I didn’t want the door to be closed for other Eritreans in case words got out. That is exactly what mike is saying. Instead of rushing to call names you could provide your own argument like
        A. THIS WILL MOTIVATE OTHER PRISONERS, THERE WILL BE OTHER OPORTUNITIES
        B. THIS CREATES A MISUNDERSTANDING AND MISTRUST BETWEEN GOVERNMENT AND PRISON GUARDS.
        C. THIS IS A SYMBOL NOT ONLY FOR PRISONERS BUT FOR EVERY ERITREAN, IT SHOWS IF YOU FOCUS AND WORK HARD THEN VICTORY WILL SURLY COME. SO THE STORY OF HIS ESCAPE SHOULD BE TOLD IN DETAIL…ETC
You can counter argue by putting such points.

      Mik
even though your opinion is concerning in some extent, the notorious regime couldn’t sleep to tighten it’s already loosen security. Asenna’s reports the reality that simply motivate justice seekers to find ways to be freed themselves indeed. Therefore this demonstrated the victory of justice over
unjustice in many ways and created awareness in exposing the fragmented tyranny. Morover the report may impact on creating distortion of trust and credibility between the security apparatus and the dictator.

    • Fetawihaki May 31, 2014

don’t worry bro, the government knows very well how Dejen could escape, so it is not new for the government, but it is new for us and have to be disclosed, sothat every eritrean knows the way Dejen undergo to free himself.

I am 100% sure that professional film makers will make the first of its kind FILM BASED ON TRUE STORY, titled “Dejen the Hero”. Dejen hawey, you will write a book and a film will be made. Thanks to God (you call him FETARI) for helping you to escaep the crude regimen in Eritrea.
    Mike
