    Dear readers, there is nothing new being said. What needs to be said is already out. But, the question is each of these individuals miss the point. It is just repetition and what we need to ask is what their role was in all this? It is easy to finger pointing after the fact. Telling the truth and ONLY the truth is another matter. Now, it is far too late talking of long neglected issues where many dear Eritreans have lost their lives under the hands of cruel barbarians who follow orders and has inside them the instinct of survival at any cost to their compatriots.

    We Eritreans brag pretending so and so is the ‘Hero of such and such battle field” and if one cares to dig a little under the dirt and dust of the earth there it is proof of our shameful act and our dirty laundry. Please, wake up and try to face truth for its value.

      Wrong, if a bounch of criminals made it hard for our HEROS AND HEROINES, we are not going to denay that they fought and won. It took them for ever because a parasite was munching on thier blood, the brightes and bravest was eliminated systmically. So sister don’t try to make it all wrong. The university graduate who left to free his country, is a hero to me, a brave farmer who left his family to free his people is a hero.

      sorry i thought you are one of the regime’s supporters. I also condemn any regionalist, means to cover up someones crimes, or down play it because it is from your village; and it is back ward. The truth shuld be told about every one who commited crime. Regionalism is a cancer need to be illiminated. Eritreans should fight it otherwise as the regime planted it, if it continues we are done.

    ብዛዕባ’ቲ ምሁር ትብልዎ ግን።ቅድሚ ኩሉ ኣብቲ ግጭት ቅድሚት ዚነበሩ ጓሶት’ዮም።ምሁራት ከተማኦም ምስ ሰፈሩ ዚሞተ ክበጽሑ ዚመጹ’ካ ውሑዳት’ዮም።ሓደ ኣፍልጦ ሃገራውነት ዘለዎ መምህር ነቲ ጉዳይ የቕልበሉ ኢልካ ዘይሕሰብ’ዩ።
    ስለዚ ኣዚ ቃልዚ ኣብ ጽንዓድግለ ዘለኩም ጽልኣት ከይከውን።እዚ ኣንተኾይኑ ከኣ ኣብ ከምዚ ዚኣመሰለ ዜጋታት ጽን ዝብልዎ ህዝቢ ጽንዓደግለ ከምዚ ኢሎም’ዮም ዚወጹ ንምባልን፡ነቲ ኢሳያስ ይኹን ውድብ ህግ ኣብ ርእሺ ደቂ ጽንዓድግለ ዚፈጸምዎ ግፍዒ ሕጋውነት ምሃብ’ዩ ዝመስል።ሓደ ከረጋግጸልኩም ዝደሊ እቲ ንስኹም ትዛረብሉ ዘለኹም እዋን፡ኣቲ ስልጣን ከመይ ኔሩ እንድሕሪ ኢልኩም፡ደቂ ቀይሕ ባሕሪ ዚነበሩዎ’ዩ።ንሳቶም ከኣ ምስ ኩማንድስ ኮይኖም ኢሎም ሰባት ዘጋፍዑ ዚነበሩ’ዮም።ኮምንዱስ ከኣ ደቂ ጽኖኣደግለ ጥራሕ ኣይኮኑን፡ኣብራሂም ዓፋ ይኹን ካልእ ኔሮሞ’ዮም።
    ካብዚ ወጻኢ ኮይኑ ርእይቶኹም ፡ብሃቂ ዝተባህለ እንተኾይኑ ከኣ ሽም ናይቲ ሰብ ምርቋሕ’ውን ኣገዳሲ ኔሩ።ምኽንያቱ ኣብቲ ግዜቲ ዚነበሩ ሰባት ስለዘለው ነቲ ኩነታት ክምስክርሉ ስለዝኽእሉ።
    ብድብድቡ ግን ኣዚ ዝሃብኩምዎ ቃል ነቲ ትህቡዎ ናይ ታሪኽ ምስክርነት ውድቕ ዝገብር’ዩ።ኣዚ ኣገባብዚ ክብሪ ህዝቢ ምትንካፍ’ዩ።ወዲ ጽንዓድግለ ሰብ ይ ኣስር፡ናይ ኢሳያስ መሳርሒ ኔሩ ክትብሉ ወላ ሽሙ ኣንተዘይጠቐስኩም ክኸውን ዝኽእል’ዩ።………………………………………………………………………………………………………… ትምህርቲ ዘይነበሮ ክከውን ከሎስ ምተቀበልናዮ፡ምሁር ሰብ ግን ፍጹም ዝዘንገዓ እንተዘንገዐ ነቲ ትብሉዎ ቃል ፍጹም ከድምጾ ዘይክእል ሕሶት’ዩ።

      Wedi hager the way you addressed is very polite and interesting But I am sorry to correct you that you missed the point what yemane said.
      Yemane was trying to compare the innocent and true citizen teacher with the regionalist circle of esayas groups. What he said was at first there was land dispute between the Saho and the tigryna Christian so the Saho were much armed than the Christian. some of the Christians such as the teacher gone to MeyDa to get guns and fight back the Saho. But once they got TeAlim and studied politics and expanded their understanding of regional, personal, and national politics they found it was useless to fight back the Saho but seek normal dispute resolution. In that way they decided fully to arm and fight back Ethiopian occupation than Saho so they joined the struggle with their brothers Saho. while these tsena Degle and Saho dropped their hate between them for the sake of their country and become much loving comrades for one nation the esayas group secretly set up discrimination, regionalism, power greed, hate of each other, mistrust of each other and so on at the same time the teacher and his group villagers did not realized there was much dirty tricks in the highest leadership of the esayas and his greedy groups who where also fighting for power among them and not shamed if they help enemy. I hope you got it clear what yemane meant and said.

          there is proof one person is alive who said the same yemane said. May be people can recognize him around asmera that his left is wounded and he wounded seven times. you seem you have much fears(walking on several eggs) than gathering a lot information. these who said that whether they were villagers or a teacher it was honest confess that it was not part of the eritrean revolution but village dispute or neighborhood disputes that was similar to many parts of the country, there was similar land dispute in seraye even worse than the saho and tsena degle land disputes that headed to armed clashes. the other thing is they may said that to encourage some mischief fighters to drop their hidden double agenda awrajawi and personal advances all in the expense of the entire fighters and the revolution.

          All the concerns you said have nothing connection with what yemane said. these days from many story tellers and commentators Much of the dishonesty, dirty tricks played are weighing to esayas and his group. Relax.

      Please get real and try to understand what Mr Yemane message rather that raising a tiny non relevant issue to divert the entire mission of this interview. Yemane is trying to tell the story as he witnessed himself and should be saluted for his courage. How many of those who witness those horror story were courageous enough to tell to people? the answer is non except very very few. Who are you or in what capacity are you here to accuse to this gentleman for lie? If you have a story tell us we are (people) the judge and jury if you don’t have just shut up and get lost. I don’t think you have the capacity or caliber to tell a story except to distract others or pick one thing miss the broader picture.

      Ato Yemane thank you for telling us the really color of the dictator. From day one his mission was not to liberate Eritrea but for power by dividing us to hit his target. Thank you Aman as well for arranging this priceless interview. We have to learn from our mistake in order to avoid the same tragedy.

        Aybel’nan’Do – again all you said are nothing to do with what yemane said and the comments I replied you. The wuchu foul words and crimes are totally separate from what yemane said and can not justify Wuchu crimes and crimes of esayas. You need to understand first the dispute between the two villagers as individual issues and nothing could justify especially related to Gedli, the issue had been there since 1900s perhaps since 1800s. Wuchu will pay the crimes he committed – one sure punishment he will demoted from general to nothing even will not be considered as individual tegadalay but criminal, drunken, womanizer, dishonest regionalist, killer.

        I know that yemane from his interview is very careful man in putting his accounts he witnessed. you are not getting it right and you jumping to different.         Instead we tend to incline on defensive mood of regional or religious sentiments , we should take the past experience
        as a learning lesson to rational solutions . Never let pride or concern for your reputation pull you farther into things
        that entangles on unsuspecting dangers . To go on determined in purpose for short term success taught us how our people
        suffered far great blow for long term disaster . It doesn’t require rocket science knowledge but rather wisdom to know
        when to end without going too far .

    in the 1970s to late 1980 there was dangerous power struggle between the Hamasien elite fighters led by Esayas Aferwerki. Almost these joined Gedli from Hamasien regions had plan to be in the circle of esayas Aferweki or if they did not esayas peers they turned mean and dangerous. They used many tactics to be part of esayas circle. Consequently some win being esayas circle and others turned deadly against the revolution due to unable to settle in the circle of esayas team others extremely unhappy of power sharing while stayed in the struggle depressed and having been submissive though hunting beautiful fighter girls. this power struggle nearly decimated the revolution. One of the unhappy hamasienay who later joined Ethiopian army after he had power disputes with esayas and the peer was Tekie Wedi Keshi. he boasted to eliminate the revolution. Therefore the esayas hamasien group were either power hungry men or potential enemy collaborators if their demand did not complied. The regrouping of hamasien power hungry in the deep EPLF leadership was all to blame esayas aferwerki clearly he was the magnet of unvisioned lazies.they were very weak intellectually but so clever when there was conspiracy to commit. Several bright intellectual fighters vanished between 1972-1983 by esayas peers due to their great ideas even some lead victorious operations.
    Who were the true fighters?

      Wedihager – I do not know how the Eplf was structured and how it was running its secret mission. But I can give some accounts of the Tof mission.I hope more to come from credible experts like yemane and others.
      Tof is established from innocent, loyal fighters by random selection. Once they are set up about 5 to 10 groups the one who grouped them do not tell them where they will go and what their missions could be including himself do not know anything.it is like someone calls the dispatcher to order sand-witch to go then the one making it reads the order togo and put it on the move to the front desk so customer pick it from the front and if you ask the one packaged it who was the customer he do not know and if you ask the customer who was the packager do not know him all he know is he picked it from the front. the one who shoot and the one got the shot do not knew what was going on – everything was quick it is illegal to ask at the same time anyone from the selected group if scrutinized the mission such as saying why, where, what the commander immediately removes the questioner perhaps his questioning could land him in jail for trying to break Mstir Wudb or questioning beyond his responsibility. Until they arrive at the mission area they do not know what they are going to do who would be their victim. Therefore questioning is illegal and these questioned slightly also get replies of AymlKeteKan eyu.

    My disaaspointment is on your way of recounting your Gedli story.
    It is part of history, thus, if you could
    a) Allow Amanuel finish his thoughts and understand his questions first before jumping to answer half of his thoughts.
    b) if you don’t tell us events as it is now chewed for over 30yrs. If you can
    concentrate in telling your listeners the real causes & blindness of so many in the leadership the likes of Derue, Petros Solomon, and others who till the end served “one-man” if it was in deed a one man show, in particular after the ELF demise.

    If derue, Petros & the others hadn’t had the same conviction & mindset of Isaias (total totalitarian), then they would have taken a major corrective action then before 1991 that benefit the ordinary tegadaly and future Eritrea at large. Even after 1991, (1991-1993)they still had had every means of power to get rid of him.

    However, as Ato tesfay temeno, the only person who articulately, incisively explained things the fact that Isaias has proved & impressed the Gedlie leaders that he
    a) was far more superior in his dynamism of political & organizational finesse and mgmt, networking skills & capability, leadership qualities that also requires swift decision-making in giving orders to executions and what not.

      The interview is at its early stage but your comment seems as if Yemane concluded his interview and you are as reviewer. Give the interviewer and interviewee a chance to carry out the interview they see it fit. You Mr smart man trying to lecture the interviewer and the interviewee how to conduct the interview is quite unacceptable and shows your shallowness. Let them finish their interview and then if you think Isiais is good leader and out smart the others meanka Petros or dirua then it is absolutely your choice. But telling us here is no good as we are very well aware of Isiais trick and wicked character. He spend his ghedli time dividing individuals and attacking innocents no directly but indirectly by using one against another considered as smart, then what can i say you are just bad wisher of Eritreans living in past. The only thing I advise you here is to allow this gentleman to tell the story as he witnessed it.Then if you have reservation it is up to you but remember this first hand account not contaminated or censured. Advocating for EPLF and glamorizing it is your own choose but history should be told as it is not modified to please a wicked person or group. History should be told as it is not modified to show the positive ones only. The whole purpose of history is to learn from it nothing more or less.
