My dear, you’re living in the past. Such a prefix came about 30 years ago to this seemingly absurd popularity in the commando units of Ethiopia.
ShaAbiya inherited this culture and leveled it up to the highest management level (Wedi AFOM, Wedi Efrem, Wedi S’nchar, Wedi F’nchal) that Eritrea has to offer, whatever that is. Just imagine, you would rename Kentiba Haregot. Would you call this respectful man Wedi’bay, Wedi Abay? In the culture of the Tigrigna-speaking citizens, the prefix has been applied lovely and meaningful in everyday life than the still existing culture of Hgdef Mendef. Wede’yay (Wedi Ayay!) Wedi Aya Chsto, Gual’ya Chsto, Gual Adey Hadas… ShaAbiya has stamped the tradition almost to ground.

It was commonly used by children raised by single parent in the slums,Why adopt it Nationally.Calling a senior citizen like Dr. Twelde; wedi vocaro is too low. i hope u get it this time.

Thanks for the update and is a big news. Dimetros and his group were told they do not represent the Eritrean Orthodox Church whose patriarch was forcefully deposed from his Holy seat and thrown into house arrest. Imagine making that long trip to Korea with out an invitation to attend the conference. Only those having legal representation can attend. What a shame! It is such individuals who are serving as tools to the regime which makes the misery of our people to go on and on.
Church and State is a separate matter and the regime should not have interfered in matters of the spirit from the start. Now, their fingers got burned from the fire and only then can they learn what the difference is.

please help WediVacaro to do the good job. Please stop giving 2% to the government because the gov is using our money to pay for mercenaries to protect the regime while our ppl are starving. by the way what happen now Asmara needs special patrol ? and why not by its own military if needed. This government has reached its maximum destructive attitudes. we need to get together and side with Wedivacaro to stop this mad regime. The very idea according to my understanding is that the president now is very well aware that our military will topple him sooner or later therefore, the president is sending a message that any one who dare to take his presidency will invite only a blood shed within the city, hopefully this will not happen but it is possible. Our military will not hesitate now to surround the merceneries and eat them within but the consequence of that could be unwanted. In conclusion our unelected government is playing with fire without any kind responsible manner. The president seems do not care about any consequence after him. This was the right moment for the regime to think and act wisely to address the current danger and listen to the demands of our ppl and act accordingly. However, he chose instead to do the opposite things to annoy everyone of us. I am pissed off this government pig time now.
