I think you are in a wrong website.

    • Temesgen Medhanie October 23, 2011

      Weygud,

Without much ado, you’re just parroting Isaias’ condescending response and cold sarcasm when he said, “They (the youth who are fleeing the country in droves) are on vacation.” It is not only an outright lie, it is as well irresponsible to downgrade the gravity of the looming and multifaceted problems in Eritrea. Instead of handling them as they arrive here in the West, why can’t the government listens to their plight while they are or were in Eritrea so that, they would remain in Eritrea to build the nation instead of risking the rather hazardous treks to make it to the West. Moreover, if they were using Ethiopia as a relay to make it to the West where you’re assuming that, they still hate Ethiopia, why are the youth taking advantage of the opportunities such as scholarships for higher learning to study in Ethiopia offered to them by the Ethiopian government. If that is not an affront to the cruel PFDJ, I wonder what is?

      Weygud,

It is too late to lament as PIA and his cohorts ate going to drink the bitter truth.First of it is only IA responsible for the launching of the war with Ethiopia for his secretive agenda of abrogating the ratified Eritrean constitution. As the constitution limits the term of the president only for 8 years but as u know Issias has never think any job outside of being absolute dictator for life.As a result of his reckless act Eritrea has lost more than 40,000 youth with the war and war related consequences. In addition more than hundred thousand Eritreans forced to leave their country. They have done irreparable damage to the country and the youth. Now they look concerned about the plight of the youth as if they care, but it is months ago where they did not say a word about the death if 400 youth in the deep sea.
But now it is too late for PIA and his thugs except to drink the bitter truth and they will be thrown in the dust bin.

Well done brother and sister, this will give a bitter lesson to Hegdef, it was wonderful demonstration. I prize Ato Teklay from Leeds for challenging the Hegdf Cader Zemhert. It was a shock for them. we know the blind supporters are always crying if one comes with the truth. Because they live in delimas. Teklay well done. If they beaten him we need to challenge them legally.

If they touched him and beaten him this will be a legal issue. In general this demonstration thrown big weight and signal to Issais who will be next to Gaddafi’s down fall.

    Semhar,
The only pride I have seen among the opposition are the Afars and Kunamas who are very proud of their own languages, heritage and identities. Some in the opposition are even ashamed to speak and sing in their own languages in the demonstrations against Hgdef. I give some credit too, to some Tigrinias who have pride in their languages, identities and songs.
If you have real and worthy identity, why do you need a white fascist European to tell you about your map, identity, zobas and cherqi?
You said about old “Higi endabas”, leave that to historians and archeologists to dig and worry about. Lets worry about justice, democracy and fairness now. There may be some good starting points in some Higi endabas, as there are outdated, unjust, and old Higiendabas in some.
Think modern, efficient and accountable ways to govern, not too old ideas. We need to grow up and move forward. Forget the past, learn to move forward.
If you are “proud of Higi endaba”, why did you burn text books written in Tigre? Why are you ashamed of your Tigre-Tigrinia? If you are proud of your past identity and history, why do you worry about an Italian invented fascist map? Why do you worry about a blue Cherqi handed to you by the UN’s Antze Matheonzos?
Identity! What identity do you have except slavery for others? Is kneeling down to Arabs an identity?

This guy is the pride of Eritrea! We need more people like him who walk the talk ! Everything in his question was amazing and we should ask questions that are relevant to the Eritrean people.

    Weygud,
You may mean well. But you are talking how ever naieve and at times easy to decieve the Eritrean people’s collective sturggle shaped Eritera and Ethiopia….How? we knocked the nasty feudalist and conniving emperor Haile Selassie, we persevered the communist powered Dergue strategy and tactics outlsting him and blowing him out of even your capital….I have to let you know the current leadership Ethiopian governoment deserve credit in punching out Mengistu as well and I will not shortcut to coint them saying Woyane governoment because they also liberated you.
So thanks but no thanks to your advice. Our experience the USA, UK and rest of the world is aware…we are just in a process to seal some backyard problems…the rest is easy…Once our youth is sparked..the rest is easy.

    • Baree October 23, 2011

      Waw,
It is so telling that a guy like Zemhret who was a vanguard himself in the 70s has now become an agent of a dictator….He said”….bzey semieat rigea ilka kizerobolu zelo” ilu. Basically it means there is no URGENCY….What a shame to his family where he could care less of fellow young Eritreans are rotting in the deserts of Sinai. Zemhret you just signed your history away…Zemhret, you have betrayed your people!! Shame, Shame!! Shame!!

Any how, looking at the gist of what you wrote, it appears you might have already reasoned into engaging woyane as your strategic ally. Which I would only consider faulty at best and libel at worst. The sadistic term referred in my comments was my best attempt to spare you having to go through the well founded/credible details that woyane’s true nature is composed of. During the proceedings and later its reports, the Ethio-Ertrea claims commission in the Hague (hope you’ve read it) found through ‘before and after’ satellite imagery comparisons martyrs cemetery in southern Eritrea was intact at the time of Eritrean withdrawal and desecrated and exhumed bones strewn across the site by the time the woyanes left the area. If this is not sadism, tell me what? Civilian deportees from Ethiopia were pushed through mined battle field to cross to Eritrea. If this is not Sadism, tell me what? many more examples would be easily listed here, however I do not intend to engage you intractably, hence decided to stick to simple term of Sadists…ezi ekua wihiduwom.

Your assertion of woyane magnanimity from capturing Eritrea proper, is your opinion that I respectfully and decidedly defer with. In a TPLF meeting after the war, you might have seen the video where Sye Abraha was storming out. In there he said nezi elna 150000 hiwot aykefelnan. Then again according to the “kozami-Temesgen model” we are all entitled to our opinions (ewae…gereb b’hakhla ember entay dea!) The scholarship and other perks being touted here, it would be best to hear from recipients themselves than Demtsi Woyane Sadist (kab zebE’si atsmi…gudam eyu). Your view that Woyane recognized Eritrean Independence reminds me the infamous Meles catch phrase “mengedun cherk yadrglachu” when he said that ‘shaebia’ were asking him starkly weather he is for peace or war? and that he felt he was in no position measure up. And the last point that says ‘…but he has promised he won’t invade Assab’ Well, he had promised: final and binding, protection to Ethio-Eritreans, democracy to election 2005 goers, that he would not advance to Mogadishu during his failed invasion of Somalia…well I hear you have new promise too, IMO sleep with one eye open buddy. But, what bothers me most is that, inherently, an opposition is supposed to have the greatest lee-way in addressing popular concerns, yet our amateurs have opted to get crammed in at a strategic level. Not good!

        Qozami,

        Part I.

Reader discretion is advised for the following line could offend some of the audience particularly Maazza haftey if she happens to be eating while reading this post for it could gross her out. When we were kids my grandmother would tell us that, if we knock a rock with another rock while we are taking a huge dump (sh*t) in the open golgol (field), we would be done in no time provided we promise the rocks not to use them for wiping our as*ses. Yea you got that right, my old man couldn’t afford a toilet paper back in the days. The down side of taking a dump in an open golgol is that, the fast blowing wind would dry your in-between Gluteus Maximus (look it up on Mezgebe Qalat) where it becomes hard to get rid of the remaining excrements. Qozami, I take my line in my previous post back where I said, your postings were not laxatives. I confess, I sure used them as laxatives.

        • Temesgen Medhanie October 24, 2011

          Qozami,

          Part II.

Back to the real deal. I won’t challenge you if in fact the Weyanes desecrated our martyrs’ graves where it could as well be part of a smear campaign in a bid to portray the Weyanes as the enemies not only of the PFDJ regime but blood enemies of the Eritrean people as well. It is a classic Clausewitzian where war is a continuation of politics by other means. I don’t have to rely on D’mtsi Weyane for information about the status of young Eritreans in Ethiopia where I could see it with my own eyes and able to listen to their plights and interrupted dreams. Yea you’re reading me right, I have been to Addis and to other refugee camps in Ethiopia to see how our young people are coping and holding up as they try to find a continuation of their differed dreams. If anything, they seem to be immensely surprised and touched by the generosity of their hosts as the latter was depicted by Isaias and his posse as the blood enemies of the Eritrean people. It sure is a heartwarming gesture when one attests to the facts that, our young brethren are taking advantage of the opportunities that is throwing at them as they are eager to swim in the sea of knowledge as opposed to swimming in a hostile ocean to make it to the West. Ts’buq n’z’geberelka wey g’berelu wey k’A n’gerelu as the Tigrigna adage has it.

          • Temesgen Medhanie October 24, 2011

            Qozami,

            Part III.

They say, strategy and tactics are like the Chinese chop-sticks where one glides the other one holds ground. Sure enough, Weyanes are our strategic allies as we struggle to bring about a free, democratic and just Eritrea. It is as simple as that. There is no need for any qualms to state the facts. As much as we are cognizant of the political capital we could potentially garner as we work with partners of similar interests, we are not foolhardy not to take every detail including the fine prints with a grano salis either. When the straight line is the shortest distance between two dots, it would have been much easier and productive if we the Opposition could work with PFDJ in setting the most viable road to put Eritrea on the right track but it would be tantamount to chasing the wind when one expects Isaias to have a change of a heart and reason out with different set of ideas. Thus, we are left with no option but exhaust every venue that could lead our people to the golden promises where Eritrea finds her rightful place up on the hill as a beacon of hope and a warm adobe of every Eritrean of different ideological stripes and articles of faith.

Why don’t u post the full thing, his question was answered. Weather you like the answer or not is your purrogative, but you should also give that option to the readers, instead of cutting and editing the seminar. If you are going to preach about freedom of press you have to live it as well. Encourage people to decide for their own instead of force feeding what you want them to hear. Thank you
