No one, no white man government can stop me from paying my 2%. 2% is the very least amount any Eritrean can do for the country. We should not forget that there are young man and woman paying their life. In order for me and you to have country called Eritrea.

    Thank you

    • Huluf November 10, 2011

      Ato Simon Haile,
I agree with you and it is your choice. I will give that money to my cousins who are all over the front support extended family directly. You have no idea, how this defunct and corrupt governoment has abandoned ex-EPLF fighters and not much care is given to those who have given their children and are ageing. I do not need to give money to Higdef Mafia.
Enough is enough, we gave them millions of dollars and could not even get the right defense system for our people and our young. Those poos Eritreans heroes in the front will tell you story how superior the Woyae Army equipment over theirs….on top of that 1:100 ration probably. You can go full yourself emotionally and blame a “white man”. You live in a “white ma” land and you pledged to the flag and country you are in. Yet the country you are in allows you to criticize it and is welcomed as healthy. Don’t you give me all higdef talking points because I will end even the Eritrean people are not allowed to demonstrate in the streets of Eritrea in support of the governoment as was done outiside Eritrea concoted by Higdef. How come the people in Asmara did not protest in the US Embassy? Even that dreads DIA because they do not want them to assemble for any reason!! Izi Wodehanka

You are free to give 100% of your income. No one will stop you. Try!

    • guest November 10, 2011

Good Job, give all your saving! I know you are also evading paying that 2% tax but you are pretending.

      • Solomon November 10, 2011

White man is giving you 100%. You are in land of white man with full demokracy and freedom! Don’t forge!

    • temesgen November 10, 2011

you pay i will not pay, Eritrea will all ways be there it was there since the beginning of the earth. i will see if you or Hgdef refuse for me to return.

    • Abdi November 10, 2011

      @Simon haile
Well said Abi seb, Im with brother, and will see who can stop us from spending our money where we want.

      • Maazza November 11, 2011

        Abdi

The way you love DIA and this oppressive system, 2% is not enough! Go there and help the system to stay there indefinitely as it is trying to do. What you do in this website is of no help to hgdef or DIA. We are out because we hate the system so much. But you, what is your problem? How can you live so far removed from such a loved and cherished leadership and tyrant system whom you try to defend nail and tooth! Go there man and enjoy and leave us in peace to unite and get our acts together to restore our dignity.

        • Abdi November 11, 2011

          @Marza
living outside your country never meant hating your country, it could be for many reasons, business, education or even simply used to where you are, specially ppl like eritreans who most of their life lived in diaspora.nonetheless they are there when ever they needed.”weylkhi may tHaqni zelekhi ‘mber nHnas Kulu gzie n/ab Adnan ena.”

    The 2% theory:
    Should Eritreans pay 2%= Yes
Do we need to know where is it going = Yes
Should we stop other Eritreans from paying = No

Conclusion : Some say the 2% is used for Prison others say for School
Some say all who pay the 2% are Opportunists others say Patriotic

    • simon haile November 10, 2011

      Selam,

” Some say the 2% is used for Prison”
      – Keep the criminals away from the decent hard working society.

” Some say the 2% is used for School”
      – Even better educate our own people.

” Some say all who pay the 2% are Opportunists”
      – Just get the money one day they will Visit the prison.

” Some say all who pay the 2% are Patriotic”
      – Just becouse they pay 2% is not enough to make them patriotic.

      Thank you

  • Abdi November 10, 2011

Crabs and nonsense, you should read the picture not only the 2% printed on the bag.look at the green back ground it’ll tell you where 2% goes, but you are blinded not to see except what woyanes told you to see.
first of all look at the ground how it turned into green, and the harvest the man is carrying in the bag, at times when our neighbors hit hard by drought, shortage of rain fall and appealing for help.so this picture explains exactly where the 2% goes.
2ndly,as some of you suggested that the money goes to PIA’s hidden accounts,if PIA has an account abroad,do you think ur goyta(woyane) and the US would hesitate to expose it and the amount it holds? I remember what worthless oppositions rumored in 90th that PIA has accounts under his son’s name in China and also have luxurious vila which contains a football ground gym outdoor swimming pool etc,in attempt to make a gap b/n him and the ppl, fortunately it was worthless rumors which ate you back.
and now you are making fool of urself again by accusing PIA for having the 2% for himself,if you followed what has been done in Eritrea
in the last 20 yrs you would’ve known where the 2% goes, and last but not least. It is not your business its the payers business, and you
should only care about the money woyane pays you for your oppositing purpose and where it abouts.
You should learn from whats happening to your goyta(woyane) that Baseless Accusation eats you back and learn from ISAYAS that “haqi Hizu
    zqales yEwet”.

    • HGDEF November 10, 2011

Abdi well done belom reisi reisom nezo denaqur. Zisiqoro Reisi dea yeblomn ember. Yes as you said why don’t they report to freez the “PIA account in China”. This could be joke of the century. Even the US ambassador in Eritrea has joked with it in Wikileaks. Assenna used his poor photoshop skills to edit bank cheque in the name of Isaias and his son Abraham. That document was good enough to convience blind opposition people and was used as “daily bread” for the hungry bad news seekers.

      • sol November 10, 2011

The main reason why u are paying 2% is not because u care for the people but u have a blood house at the expense of poor innocent Eritreans.2% to keep the youth in slavery so as he can keep your vacation peaceful, and u can show off when u visit home. But u want Eritreans to be starved getting one bread per day while you are munching what ever u want because if western civilization and opportunity.

        • Abdi November 10, 2011

You agame i know who you are,ya agame we eritreans pay 2% where ever we reside even inside Eritrea, against that we get protection and support from our embassy when ever problem arise, but idiot ethiopians like you they don’t pay and when they face problems like the girl who had been burnt and tortured by gadaffi’s daughter in low, no one protect her,but eritreans the first thing we do when we travel abroad is to go to the embassy register, attest our contracts and the protection starts and we go insured from that point.so its more than your idiot woyane told you about(build prisons )let me tell you, we don’t need to build prisons, we have enough underground rooms built by your brothers Derg prisoners, for now we build schools and hospitals our aim is to meet MDG not guwantnamo or alem beqagn popularity.
Btw don’t waste your time with eritrean issues you have enough problems in ur country which need ur attention.

  • simon haile November 10, 2011

Me as a person I have not done anything for my country. I’m selfish, self-centred and coward compared to those who lost their life and disabled for the rest of their life, in the name of Country and people.
When I go to pay 2%, I go there with my head down and full of shame. When Eritrean needed me, I was not there to help my people.

As far I am concerned the 2% is every Eritrean nationality duty to pay.

May god save Eritrea from her egotistic children.

    Thank you

    • HGDEF November 10, 2011

      We said Simon:
Did you hear what Ali Abdu said when he was asked about how much help Eritrea can give to somalia?
“The important thing is not how much you give, but how much love you show when you give”

Yes we know 2% nothing compared to the people who paid their lives and youth who have sacrifid their time to build and protect the country, but we do it as a sign of support and sympathy to those who are building the nation.

If my 2% can buy two exercise books and a pencil for a child who can become a doctor tomorrow, that child will save thousands of lives, and those lives will make Eritrea a prosperous country.

      • simon haile November 10, 2011

        Very good point.

        Thank you

        • ahmed Saleh November 10, 2011

          Simon
I don’t want go to details, just ask yourself?
Why our youth are dying like this and why they are abandoning their country by crossing the borders?
Why do we need all these prisoners for law abiding and crime free society?
Where is our judiciary system to protect a person’ right? Where is the constutition?
Where is the Eritrean Parlamient? Why one man rule? where is democracy?
Why all those brave brothers/sisters are in jail for more than 10 yrs unlawfully?
When you analyze yourself with these questions then it is up to your consciousness to look at the
          wrongs and rights.

      • Abdi November 10, 2011

        Mr HGDEF
its is not a sign of sympathy or support its is a must pay to get the protection from the gov’t when you abroad and in side the country it goes to health education etc,so its a compulsory payment to cover any counsellor Assistance you may need.it may looks as a support or a sympathy for those who live in the west but for those who live in Arab world its more like insuring yourself against any difficulties you might face until you return home save, as we all know Arabs are not good at handling employees and usually preach contracts, and here the counsellor comes and fight for you if you can’t do it yourself and indeed eritrean embassies are next to none on these issue and they do their utmost to get things right for you, moreover some eritreans also caught without resident permit(iqama)and in some cases the embassy pay for their air tkt to home.to understand value of the 2% ask people who reside in the middle east.however its a duty to be paid in and outside Eritrea and every Eritrean must pay.

    • Maazza November 10, 2011

      simon haile

Why not make it 20% or 40% or a 100% and go with your head high? No one will stop you.

  • Dawit November 10, 2011

Two important things Eritreans are expected to do:

    1. Stop paying 2%, &
    2. Disable Bisha from being a cash cow.

Eritreans have control over the former , but not the later. Sabotage comes into mind when we think of disabling Bisha. Here is a simple mathematical formula which could have a profound effect in bringing down PFDJ to its knees. I call this PFDJ’s achilles hill

    PFDJ’s Coffer – 2% -Bisha + Sanction = the Death of PFDJ

    • HGDEF November 10, 2011

You must quote your Master Meles because this formula was authored by him it is not yours.

    • Passer By November 10, 2011

      PFDJ’s Coffer – 2%(Of Dawit)+Bisha +/- Sanction = the Survival of Eritrea

  • amba November 10, 2011

To the people who want pay 2% go head to build the prison it will be your future home

  • amba November 10, 2011

All hgdef and meseretkum agame gudefuna we don’t need your2% we can build eritrea because we love our land and we care for our people not like you to distroy eritrea

  • Dawit November 10, 2011

If UNSC can’t agree on the Gabon sponsored draft resolution to impose restrictions on investment in the mining sector, we will take the matter in to our own hands and deal with “Bisha”. The demise of Bisha will surely cripple PFDJ.

    • ahmed Saleh November 10, 2011

It is possible anything can happen from know on because it is getting into a turning point.
Don’t forget we have brave men out there in Eritrea frustrated from authorities.

      • ahmed Saleh November 10, 2011

correction: read as, from now on.

      • Abdi November 10, 2011

As you said its possible, but we have the feeling that we will get what we want this time, those agames American puppets had been given enough space but they misused it so its our turn, having lay out the necessary base for the economy and made sure nothing will abstract it from growing plus food security, PIA is back to the politics game with his head sky high and nothing to blackmail him with.so no opposition nor Agames will be exist after the 16thNov,search for a place to hide before its too late.
Eritrea remains the shining star in Africa with her examplary and visionary people and gov’t.
        PIA forever.

  • tegadalay November 10, 2011

    • temesgen November 10, 2011

you are just a loser, your Kenyan man is better than you he only visited Eritrea probably once, because yo seen DIA for the last 20 years and you support him with out any conditions, like low, constitution, freedom of speech, limited national service.
but to educate people like you will take as few years but at the end you will join the people of Eritrea.

    • sol November 10, 2011

Hasawei, if I open your file, u will have 3 years of unpaid tax, let alone paying 50% ,basically you are living by public aid money, and u want a donate the money of tax payers for terrorism and oppression of ur own people. If I were I will give my money to my extended families who are suffering because their loved ones are in endless national service, and some ate also died in unjust Isdisa war. I do not care if u give 100% of your income but I oppose any penny that us donation of public aid money which is tax payers money.

  • amba November 10, 2011

etgadalay i thing you your father was TOR SERAWIT that is why he call you etgadalay

    • Abdi November 10, 2011

      @emba
think your father was DERHO that is why he called you EMBA to became EmbaDerho ,lol

      • HGDEF November 11, 2011

        Dear Abdi:
I agree with you that 2% is the national duty of everyone who lives abroad. I said it is a sign of support and sympathy to those building Eritrea, because I wanted to explain that it is nothing compared to the lives of our martyers who gave their lives and to the work being done by people there. If you don’t do your duty you can’t ask fo your rights. Even animals understand this. I wonder if the Weyane agents do have an average animal brain size.

I don’t question the usefullnes and contribution to nation building of 2%. Even Meles sees it as third biggest weapon (after Eritrean defence forces and Bisha) against his disire to occupay Eritrea. But the stupid teqawemti they refused to pay 2% thinking that they could go long without it. They discovered that they can’t do that when it become too late for them to pay accumulated 2%. Then they don’t have any choice but try to find every means trying to make it seem illegal. We don’t expect them to come to their minds, because they have gone too far to the wrong direction. How could one expect a vehicle to catch up a convoy after driving too long in the opposite direction?
