ናይ ተማሃራይ ኣማኑኤል ተስፋስላሰ GPA 3.94 ክኸውን ከሎ ናይታ ትሕቲኡ ዝነበረት ተማሃሪት GPA 3.91 እዩ ነይሩ። ይኹን እምበር፣ ኣማኑኤል ብሰንኪ ዜግነቱን ስደተኛ ብምዃኑን ሽልማት ከምዝተነፍጎ እቶም ምንጭታት ኣረዲኦም።
ተማሃራይ ኣማኑኤል፣ ቅድሚ እቲ ወግዓዊ መመረቕታ ብመሰረት ዘመዝገቦ ልዑል GPA ኣብ ኣራት ኪሎ ቀዳማይ ምዃኑ ተነጊሩዎ ኣፈናዊ ሽልማት ‘ውን ተዋሂቡዎ ክንሱ ኣብቲ ኣብ ሚልየነም ኣዳራሽ ዝተገብረ ሃገራዊ ስነስርዓት መመረቕታ ግን ድሕሪኡ ዝነበረት ኢትዮጵያዊት እቲ ወርቃዊ ሽልማት ተዋሂቡዋ።

To thank them for giving eritreans a chance to study is good. But was not it nice to give him the medal. I remember one decumnetary in German the judges favour white man over the real winner who is black and after many years the white guy gave the medal to the real winner. Perhaps the second best winner will give him the medal

As many said, if the news is true, denning a prize for outstanding student is legally WRONG. But keeping in mind the current situation of Eritrea, I think it is fare. Any national has priority in his/her own nation against another national in any country. Is it fare? of course it is. Why? because Ethiopia is for Ethiopians first then for others. In our case, if this student came to Ethiopian university by the common agreement between Ethiopia and Eritrea, he would have received a prize from Eritrean institutions. He attended Ethiopian university by the good will of the Ethiopia government. I think it is more than enough. Prizes are nothing but acknowledgements.

Hi all readers of the article, my brothers and my sisters, First of all i agree with the Idea of Brother mighty Embasoyra, Secondly I couldn’t agree with the sister Genet idea, why you blame to Amanuel? He didn’t say nothing bad to Ethiopian Government and their police, he said the reality, what you talking about.Before give same comments you have to read carefully my sister Genet, Just he demanded to us, worked hard to get our freedom in our country, instead of abuse by others.Amanuel is feeling bad better than you about our people, and he knows when appreciate to Ethiopian, and complain to Ethiopian, so that I’m sure he never toked simply with out evidence.Thanks for all others left good, and clear idea.

Can I tell similar situation wcich happens to Rahael Athlete in Israel and to me in southern Sudan in Juba commercial school in southern Sudan in 1975. The assistant director Mr. JAMES AND THE DIRECTOR MR. STEVEN denied me the first prize and pass it to the second, third and fourth prize as first, second and third and me as fourth place. At LEAST I WAS GIVEN A BOOK AS FOURTH PRIZE. I believe it is a rule that the first to third should be given to the citizens. It is highly appreciated that the authorities are rewarding places to Eritrean students in the Universities of Ethiopia. We can claim it back when we gain our dignity at home, records are non ommittal, there will be there recorded for ever and the lady will never feel that she came first and she will always remember you. I remember what my friends like James Picos, Lukas, Steven and others told me at that time,I qoute “Mondokuru, don’t you worry, we will post you after the Independence of Eritrea to Asmara”. I always remember them until now, I hope they are alive and want to see them. Probably they are ministers or Generals, I miss them, hoping they are well and waiting my first prize of the third year of Juba Commercial College posted to Asmara after our liberation.

But it shows that we should appreciate that our brothers and sisters have the possibility to show it when they are good. The “fly in the ointment” (the lacking prize) should than be an issue for “diplomatic” communication.

It is stupidity all the time to discuss and waste time by the effect of any incident. Guys, please all time focus about the cause of any incident and try to discuss about its solution. In deed without own home there is no respect. For me, it offends me not only the intelligent disputed student because not got the deserved price or pride; but as if we have not own nation and university our youngsters because systematical enforced in humiliated way to dispute and in a way the are treated because inforced to live. So i can only well come the Ethiopian support both nations in respect and mutual understanding when start sharing their resources is only otherwise, like the say goes, “ሽምጢ ሰበይተይ ሒዙ ዝዋዘየኒ ኣይፈቱን ” in such condition whatever good Ethiopians do, i never see it and take it as good, but as the deliberate act of our nation and people to humiliate. But of course the most responsible for that is their own person Isyas Afeworki.

First and for most as Eritreans we need to give credit when it is due. Ethiopian government for offering the opportunity to this young man should be applauded with appreciation by any decent Eritreans. Second the student has been awarded for exceptional achievement during the graduation sermony in the AAU. If the PM want to encourage the Ethiopians to excel and awarded only exclusively to Ethiopian who achieve the highest mark is completely acceptable.This kind of leadership is what is missed in Eritrea.Raising this issue here is unreasonable expectation from Ethiopia , we forgot that he is being refugee not exchanged student and want the same treatment as host. To finish my comment on this issue I would like to criticize Ammanuel for gotting it very wrong this time round to bring this as a big deal. There so many Eritreans in the pipeline studying in Ethiopians university and potential ones and so we should be grateful rather than unpleasant the host nation. There many other Eritrean websites who are good for string troubles with our neighbors and assenna should leave this to them.wedehanka
