I concur,the precedent and good news is coming from Ethiopia and its new leader not the other way around and given the political and institutional immaturity and discourse in our homeland I always believed if there is any disruption to force change to the bleak situation in Eritrea,it is going to be imposed externally whether we like it or not.It might not be obvious blatant aggression but it is gonna be.Talking about the tactics of HGDEF to prolong their tenure to power,they will try everything in their playbook including the hail marry to the end zone which includes opening a new war front and creating a new enemy like Sol noted,however the playbook is outdated,the players are quitting and the coach needs to be fired.It is overdue.It is like calling up Jimmy Johnson from retirement to lead the Dallas Cowboys.Enough of these geriatric Casanovas.

I hope this news is true. If so, peace and mutual cooperation is on the horizon for both countries.
These two countries are more alike than the other in the horn in such away which is in cultural, religiously even genetically are the same. But we have a country that calls Eritrea. Even though we can still with mutual respect based on our national interest.

You will be shocked to know that the regime’s response to this will be a big NO, although not in away it’s clear to ordinary people.
It’s not that I want this to happen but I know for sure the regime has no interest in peace.
With this decision the Ethiopians put the brute in a corner.
It didn’t go to war to protect the national interest of Eritrea. It went to war to avoid implementation of the new constitution. And that issue is still there, hence the regime’s interest in no-peace no-war situation.

What will happen if the regime refuses to agree to border demarcation with Ethiopia,assuming the latter is ready to hand over territories that belong to Eritrea to it ?
– Will the Eritrean army react ?
– Will the Ethiopians arm the opposition groups ?
