When Eritreans achieved their long awaited independence in 1993(legally), some former members of the ELF refused to recognize(participate in)the Eritrean government for no other reason than vengeance and hatred. Now, the same ugly faces of hated and vendetta are reappearing within some quarters of the opposition. They don’t want the EPDP to be called an “opposition” because in their opnion, it is not fair since its members were former members of the EPLF (PFDJ). This makes one wonder wheteher the struggle is really for genuine democracy and rule of law or for power?
