    Tadesse,
    After reading this article, some questions popup to my little brain.
    1. This Zoba crap (forgive my french) thing was created during all those G-15 were in their position. So, these are not clear to me:
    1a. Was this zoba thing was done by one and only one man, just isayas? if it was, what were they doing at that time?
    1b. If the G-15 and others were part of the decision/plan, since there were from almost every zoba, are you telling us those were sellouts?
    2. Do you think the ordinary citizens from both north & west hamasien and hirgigo know about these perks? May the few elites but I would say no, since they are in the same mess as the rest of Eritreans.
    3. Why were the south hamassien people left out of these perks? What are they blamed for?
    For now, I think these should be enough.

    Kubur Haw Ato Tadesse Kidane, Well done. I admire your guts and your openness. As our people would say “Kuslu ziHabiE fewsu YihabiE” indeed. It is high time that we call a spade a spade. This cancer of religionism and regionalism has to be tackled in a cool and deliberate way. Unless we start talking about it and attempt to find a solution (at least amongst us in the Diaspora) or a common understanding it will be the sure undoing of post-Isayas Eritrea. The least we can do at this stage is the way you have done that is write about it – don’t try to deny it, accept it for it is not only in Eritrea but that it is a disease all over the world. Cool and serious minds (like brothers Tes & Selamawi) should be engaged in brainstorming to find a solution. These are sickness of emotions. Only reasonable and cool citizens need to participate in any solution seeking constructive discussions. Once again, well done and thank you for publicity raising such a crucial subject. Tes & Selamawi, very well said kuburat brothers.

    It is true that the government is not committed to building a united, stable, democratic and prosperous nation. Eritrea must be a great and modern nation. We know this country shall be free, free of regional, religious, and ethnic bigotry, free of oppression, and free from the vestiges of colonialism to enjoy prosperity and to live in amity and unity. But we are complex. I believe that most of us are not one or the other,but are both. So what brings Mr Tadesse now to despise a stranger?

    Tadesse has clearly stated the where abouts of our national resources. and he has clearly described how the regional administration is divided. do you have a concrete evidence to negate Tadesse. tell us that tadesse’s idea is false by evidence. don’t bark like a dog.He brought a very good idea for discussion. Tell us if he is false. Every body knows Hamasien Like all other regions made sucrifies not only them, but every body in Eritrea. You can insult tadesse b/c he said his mind. but you can not delete the ideas from our mind.
    Tadesse never said anything against Hamasien. He only stated how our national resources are allcated on the current regime. don’t jump for unity. unity comes when we respect each other. I you take my wealth and you said we are brothers as the same time, do you think that is unity. No big no. there is no a single word about hizbi Hamasien. not a single word. everything is about regime and politics. those who are barking are defending the truth.
    it is not only about Akele-guzay, what about Seraye. their economic tie is related to Gash. again come with concrete truth and confront Tadesse with a hard truth instead of barking or insulting.

    Tadesse’s raw paper investigates the political structures of Zobas. It also discusses the PFDJ/PIA government Zobas experience focusing mainly on the redistributive and the inefficiency aspects or discriminatory associated with it. However, we need one thing to know; i.e economic policies which would tend to reduce regional/zobal disparities in any nation are always thought to be desirable. But in non-constitutional democratic country like Eritrea also needs to recognize that attempts to do so may be impossible. In the sense that it might lead to distortionary incentives to agents and might have a potential cost in terms of efficiency.

    Now, if we comeback in the PFDJ/PIA the structural frameworks allocation of Zobas have a lot good criterion built in them. However, one needs to examine whether policies designed to ensure equity actually serve the purpose and if they do, that may be associated with it in the form of efficiency. At the same time, one needs to examine political institutions that create incentives to undertake policies that serve to aggravate the already existing zobas inequalities.

    We look at how Eritrea public policy has been affected by the duration of PIA government and the nature of representation of Zobas.
