      Ghezai
So This man has “close family members, who are bodyguard to DIA”. That means he was hand in hand with the dictator. Well then, he got what was coming for him. You deal with the devil, you end up six feet under.

I was thinking on whether to say my condolences or good riddance. I wouldn’t jump into a conclusion that this guy was a bad guy. I didn’t see anyone on this board that suggested this guy acted criminally. This guy could be a victim like the rest.
So, since I don’t know the guy and I haven’t heard any bad comments I decided to say my condolences to his family.

    • Genet June 17, 2013

      Mighty
You know, he was a PFDJ offical who had first hand knowledge of how, where and by whom decision was made.
This guy was an insider of the PFDJ’s leadership. How can he be a victim for 22 years? To many Eritreans, he was/is a willing participant in the destruction of our country. He may not be the one who ordered any unjust treatement on our people, he saw and heard the dictator’s actions upclose. When his people needed him the most, he chose to be silent. In the PFDJ saga, you can’t be a victim for 22 years. I am sure he was comfortable with the dictator. There is a post that his relatives were/are the dictator’s body guards. That makes him, a loyal confidant of the dictator. There is noting worst than that.

    Genet,
You raised the right questions. And what we need more than ever is Divine Intervention!
The psychic in us is what has gotten us this & where we are. We do not thin Eritreans as Humans First. If we see Eritreans as Humans first then we fight for humanity. But since we have illness called ignorance by labeling eachother “this is real Eritrean” this is not, this is this this that. And this only serve those, albeit, few who have the devil’s nature. Isaias is NOT only our problem. If others were NOT like him, if they HAD humanity first in their Psychic, then, they would have thought of 5 million people first & foremost. But, since all of them are thinking “Eritreans” and Eritreans is whoever on their idiot mind’s side & actions & inactions, then the cause is lost there! Look how theese 3 Generals even sit & their body language. Absolute Arrogance! look how deadly evil & killer eyes of Isaias move right to left. is that fear of the unknown or else?
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HoADk3aeNY

so to answer it short: Those Eritreans who think Humanity bigger than themselves (Eritrianism) jot down rules, laws that govern the nation & its cirtizens as human beings first & foremost! Until that happens which I doubt, we are in it. We are NOT a people that have humility, farsightedness, the ability to see what is best for all of us. we as a soceity are bunches with useless imbecile minds. If we were NOT, then someone really could have gotten rid off Isaias if that someone thinks of Humanity first before “Eritrea” then “PFDJ” then oneself. Look what happened to G15. Did they have the chance to redeem. they did. Hade iyu Helfetu. They knew that he is merciless. But why sacrifice themselves for him!

so our problem is the inability to see us as Humans first! Humanity is bigger than Eritreanism! I don’t have to be Eritrean to love Eritreans, as long as I dearly hold humanity in tact, I won’t do evil to humanity (that includes Eritreans).

so it is clear the EPLF/PFDJ leaders have only elevated, exploited the loopholes of Eritrean sooeity (urbanists in particular) sickness: tribalism, regionalism, territorialism, foul-talking, endless dancing & alcohol. Look how the Diaspora (the exposed). Exposed to advanced soceity but still living with a psychic of 19th century. Look how we dance & alcohols in conference of “Urgent gatherings”. Look how our Enda-Hazens (gossip & alcohol). Have you seen us engaed in most advanced way, with respect of one another. Are we a people who embrace others? Are we a people that have a grain of salt in common sense? No, whichever way you see it, we are the stupidest, dummiest people on earth that knows NO humanity. We are just failures! Look how the people of Tigray handled their newly found power. Look how Meles transformed himself. B/c they know how reach out & debate with other humans. we are NOT living in a jungle and can’t act like Hyena all the time! we are humans that can do miracles. The creator gave us minds, but we as “Eritreans first” are a failure of Humanity! our way of life, the way we handle things with eachother in a rough, ghettoized, foul-mouth talk, oppressive minds, JEALOUSY, HASADNET .. what NOT blind us so bad! our Eritrea is our reflection!

    ======================
    Dawis
It sometimes is difficult to see clearly what we as eritreans want and what we feel and what we think are our problems and what we are struggling for.
    1. who is Eritrean and who is not?
    2. who decides on who can be ‘genuine eritrean’?
    3. What does that genuine Eritrean exactly mean?
    4. Is our problem only one man or is it a system created and led by one man? i.e. are we after one man or a system that put us in this position?

    • Zaul June 14, 2013

You do know “smerrr paltalk” is run by “ማሕበር ትያትር ትግራይ” right?
Pay attention to the message of anti-EPDP, anti peacefull means of struggle, the carefully chosen akelle, Afar, seraye nicknames, the admins, the participators and how they react to dissenting points of views. The “Bayto-ENCDC” is infiltrated and run by Woyane cadres.
Try the slogan “Eritrea for Eritreans by Eritreans” 😉 and see how they will react.

      • Ghenet June 15, 2013

        Zaul,
I participate on paltalk but I do focus on the ideas and points presented and not on the person/s or where their grand or great grand parents come from.
As much I like the interesting comments and information that you bring here, sarcasm especially when it comes to identity is insensitive. Wherever you go, races and ethnic groups mix and the outcomes belong to both sides. Considering someone an enemy because of their origin is unacceptable, especially in the 21st century. an enemy is someone who comes after you and your loved ones no matter of his/her ethnicity or race.
Let us change what we can and accept what we cannot.

        • Zaul June 15, 2013

          ሰላም ገነት
          ኣይተረዳእክንን

It’s not about them being Tigreans “ማሕበር ትያትር ትግራይ” is just wordplay with the famous “ማሕበር ትያትር ኣስመራ”. I believe those of us who come from the Eritrean Highlands are the same people as those who from northern Ethiopia, but we belong to different countries and have thus most of the time different interests (sometimes the same).
It’s the deep involvement of The Ethiopian Government inside the opposition that I’m opposed to, and I noticed that the Admins of Smerrr and many of the regular “participants” are pushing a certain Ethiopian political agenda, that’s why they refer to their place of origin in Eritrea in their nicknames and in their discussions to divide us into small easily manipulated groups (33 political parties!!!).
They dare not even mention Badme in Paltalk, all I’m saying is pay attention.

          1) We cannot take up arms against our own little brothers and sisters.
We need mass-mobilization of our compatriots.
          2) We cannot have ethnic and religious parties, It’s too divisive for Eritrea. We need parties that focus primarily on economic issues.
          3) If the Ethiopians want to help us, they can accept the Algiers agreement, so our people inside Eritrea can actively participate in the struggle, wthout the threat of Ethiopian occupation.
The Eritrean government will not have any other acceptable excuse to stay in power.
          4) What we need more than political parties is, an unconditional unity with one single slogan. Implement the constitution and the rule of civil law prepare for a transitional period.

I would be equally opposed to the involvement of Sudan or Egypt, if they were pushing their agenda through any Eritrean opposition party.
We need friends, but we have to be the masters of our own destiny.

          • Ghenet June 16, 2013

            Zaul,
            Hi and Thank you.
I can understand your position. What I was against is sarcasm and name calling. It would only drive us apart. We need to cool down and find ways we can focus on our common points instead of our differences. If Ethiopia is pushing agenda, believe me it is only because of our weaknesses. After so many years of opposition, look where we are. All we have done is bad mouthing each other, accusing each other of all sorts of things and then creating useless parties (God knows if each has a program). What do you expect Ethiopia to do? It is politics my friend. If they see us fight each other now, it is a good indication of what and how we will be later, if we ever manage to kick the monster out. And we are just giving a loop hole to anyone.
We really need to look at ourselves before we accuse anyone of interfering. If few of us were not weak do you think Ethiopia would encourage division along the lines of Muslims and Christians and ethnicity, if it ever encouraged it. The problem is us. We elect people to represent us based on our emotions, and relationship/ethnicity/religion not because we believe in them or not because we know they can do the job. In addition, our educated and elites have refused to join the struggle and contribute their wisdom and knowledge and lead their people along the right path. All we have now is burnout so- called politicians scrambling for power and have no idea that our people are heaving and how desperate they are. The youth are just starting to rise and we should all stand behind them and help them so that they do not lose track of what our agenda is.
Now is the right time that we should all say ‘enough either you do the job or leave the seats’ to our baito.
Other than that, we will always interfere in Ethiopia’s business and vice versa. Same with other neighbouring countries. The united country will stay strong always. All we have to do is wise up and measure up to the tricks and politics but stay united.
It is not the time for us to raise the issue of badme and it is also not our mandate at the moment. This is because we are not yet a government and we have to find ourselves and stand united to create a democratic state first. The decision on badme has been passed by the appropriate international organisations. It is a legal issue and we cannot do it from where we are now. Let’s be civil to each other; support and correct and stand to be corrected, acknowledge and accommodate our differences and our march to democracy will be a smooth one. Badme will be there waiting for us.

          • Zaul June 16, 2013

            Ghenet,

I was not calling names, I was just pointing out their method of dividing us. How do you think anyone from Hamasien feels when they’re opposed to the government and still gets to hear “በላዕቲ ሳዕሪ” if they don’t know that the Admins are Tigreans pretending to be from Seraye or Akelle. The youth movement is being hi-jacked and their hatred of PFDJ is driving them into the arms of the Ethiopian Government to raise arms against their own people, without knowing if it will benefit us at the end of the day.

But this site is supect too… Anyway take care!

          • ida June 16, 2013

I agree with you zaul. The main problem is not eritreans. The real problem is the enemy who looks like us, and speaks our language who is causing all the confusion.

  • Facts-ain't-Pretenders! June 14, 2013

    Zaul,
The point is your simply jumping your gun at “weyane” sums it all up. You are, are inflicted by the same syndrome & disease. Yours can be “weyane” , and theirs can be somethingelse. In the end noone listns to noone. The end result? WUC in Eritrea & Eritrean Diaspora is WUG!

If you had been smart & wise, you don’t raise a single word “weyane” instead you would have looked in the inner you!

“weyane” has transcended itself and look where they are unless you are one of those “The glass is half-empty!” ! so be wise and raise your common sense & logic. “weyane” has 100% a right to safeguard itself, survive & secure its future. Considering their integrating themselves into a complex >70 million souls, and leading, that exhibits nothing but the capacity of their skills. Anything that makes you proud in Eritrean leadership & PFDJ system? These bunches are nothing but destroyers.

  • Facts-ain't-Pretenders! June 14, 2013

besides, it is not weyane” that is roaming around whrecing havoc? If it does anything evil, which it might, that is within its territory & in a survival struggle to convince hardcore, ultranationalist Ethiopians to embrace the people of Tigray!
Do you have any idea of the ultra-nationalist Ethiopians? They are as cruel as PFDJ. They are the ones who destroyed Ethiopia’s humanity that led the marginalized people of Ethiopia to leperism, beggarism, illiteratism.. what not.

so see the big picture! The entire Eritrean Diaspora, without exaggeration, actually played the dummiest big part in handing all power to PFDJ in its annihiliation of Eritrea. Ask yourself if you care about your people and at least do soul-searching. Eritrea & its people need soul-searching! .. The “I am egotism” is not gonna getcha nowheere! only to the demise!

    • Zaul June 14, 2013

      My brother,

Let me start of by saying I have nothing against my Tigrean brothers from the south and I do admire the changes they have made in Ethiopia. But I as an Eritrean care first and foremost about the wellbeing of my compatriot (all its regions and religions). I do not want to see my Eritrean people suffer in any hands, be it PFDJ or played around with as “Plan B” for Woyane, just in case their mortal enemies get back in power in 2015, without being consulted, but I don’t want my people to be forced into submission. Get that!

  • Facts-ain't-Pretenders! June 14, 2013

brother – I would have gotten it if your words had matched your actions.
    a) Your spitting “weyane” itself is a sign that you are not out of your shell. Because by labelling/insulting a neighbor, you can never claim peace with tha neigbor firstly.
    b) Secondly, your words are indifferent than any the majority of “educated”, layfolk Eritreans. Look for a scapegoat! not a good wisdom. The issue is deep in our soul, deep in our flesh, glued to our skeletons, evaporated thru our filthy tongues. Our minds are dark, depleted, diluted. we cannot even see our individual ills, always seeing others.

    c) The fact that we are dummy in the departments of debate, diplomacy, tolerance spills the beans of our disease. Our neignbors are light year ahead of us in terms of grasping the way the world functions, and forcing (flexibly, dynamically) oneself to integrate to the world, not asking the world to integrate to us, who are obssessed of our own bravados.

    d) If the Eritreean psychic, fundamentally, had not been, so territorially curved by narrow regionalism, religion instead of humanity, if WE are a people who respect our own and NOT dilting it by foreign products (yesterday we used to: Alora, Roma, babene’.. and today: Thank You, What is up — and all that dilutness, advertising, practising others’ stuff — trying to be someoneelse while talking ‘only in name’ “Eritreans, eritreans)

My brother – if you love your mother, sister, you don’t pimp them at the sametime. You find gracefully ways to live a dignified human life. get the drift!?

nothing is directed at “YOU!”. The scenario, the mess is all ours to takeownership – so stay on the lighter side and grasp Eritrea’s reality!

‘weyane” is doing what is best for itself & its people. no more no less. so our problems are neoither Weyane nor PFDJ anymore. IT is US! It is our psychic. It is our understanding of Humanity! You are a Human being that deserves to live with dignity and if I don’t acknowledge & honor that then I am the problem not you. “weyane” are humans and if we, in order to survive & live in peace, do not reconize them and go half way to deal with then who is the problem? we are at the losers side. We ought to act for the sak of humanity (our Eritrean people & eritrea).

By the way, I am an Addis kid who have nothing at stake in Eritrea, except the marginalized people – the humans. I buried those wonderful G.parents who gracefully brought me up in my Addis, but I am honroing their humanity/Eritreanism from afar, yes their humanity, their culture, their human dignity, their originality!

One don’t sleep with the devil and then cry not getting a “tsama” ! One ought to sleep with Humanity! That is where the issue is. Eritreans do NOT see themselves as humans that are on the verge of dissipation! That is my fear. Eritreans from the educated to the house-maids are totally absurdly blinded by grandoizing of self. Each of you need to check the fact that you are nothing without another Eritrean and can’t do s**t on your own! we need one another! more than anytime, we need to have Ears not tongues! we need to stop dancing, drinking and be serious !
