The honorable aboy Habte and so many like him are still around,I hope they will come forward and share their stories in the future.Folks these are the historical facts that were swept under Hgdef’s rug never to be disclosed for those who have the right to it-the Eritrean people.It is the story of the shrewd tyrant and his evolution and how he got to where he is today,for some it is an epiphany and for others it is a teaching moment.This is how the true Eritrea got lost in translation.Stay tuned. I have great respect to Aboy Habtemariam; but all what he said is not true, Aboy Habte do not have deep knowledge about yet. At the end of 1974 and beginning of 1975 I was at that places until Abdelkadir Romodan’s Haddish Halay meeting and I have personal understanding or observation. First of all PIA never met Abraham personally and was not there at that moment. Secondly his brother Gebray Tewelde was in Alla and surrounding in the year 1973-1975 before he left to the ELF’s 1st Congress to Barka and i believe he knows pretty much well how his brother died. Thirdly the people of that area has witnessed several times that PIA or PLF did not do that and most people of that area noticed thatTesfamariam Giorge was a double agent and a bad person man.
You are right Gezae,it all retracts back to the pioneer organization once called ELF,because the story is ELF,the political and armed struggle of Eritrea is anchored in ELF,the tyrant himself evolved from ELF,as long as that story is misconstrued and subdued the Eritrean people will have that confused look in their face because a part of them is missing.That is why instead that organic we have a synthetic Eritrea with strange colors and you Gezae seem to be one of those who got accustomed to it.
I did/do not support any dictator or dictators, but I get really sick at being abused for telling the truth to young Eritreans who only know their version. To know history is to be educated. That’s the idea. But I’m sure we see instances mistakes have been revisited from time to time through ego. I believe that when we think we are better than those from the past, our egos try to convince us we have nothing to learn.
Everything we believe comes from history, whether we conscience of it or not. By perspective, I mean that history enables us to see and understand our own time better. For instance, we often argue that politics is more divisive and dysfunctional than it ever has been. But when you look at politics in the past, you’d know that just isn’t the case. Parallels have to do with learning from the mistakes of the past, look at similar events in the past, and try to glean some lessons. It is only a matter of time; history is inescapable.
As assumptions are windows for investigation, Assenna’s interview this time has really casted light on the darkest area of Isaias’s history. If evidences are found, the assumption about Isaias’s background changes everything about Isaias. The interview gives the missing information to write the history of Isaias without any doubt, not even the tiniest mistake.

Haileyesus,I have some discussions on this medium with Gezae in the past with no rational conclusion,basically going in circles.You can’t talk about logic when it is ok with someone when a self appointed dictator rules with iron fist for 25 years plus, and decides the fate of an entire nation unilaterally,when appointing and purging of high ranking posts is decided by one man,when allocations and utilization of the nations natural resources rests on the stroke of his pen,when it is viewed as routine and is treated with indifference the daily bleeding out of the nation’s youth and dying in the deserts and high seas,when there is no democratic avenues and mechanisms to deal with this paranoid,vindictive,insecure with low self esteem trying to hold on to power at any cost even if it takes selling his children at a bargain price…………..this defies the word logic,it doesn’t apply here,you can’t discuss logic here.Practically it is impossible.

I am sorry brothers I understand if someone is demanding attention even if it doesn’t make sense to you, it makes sense to him/her/them. That’s why it’s always a waste of time to tell him/her/them they’re incorrect. I experienced if people are holding a grudge then they already care more about that situation than they should. That’s why they are making arguments – and because they want get you to believe, but we have to be able to evaluate those arguments. If we can demonstrate that an argument is sound and valid, not only do we have reason to accept it, but we can also defend it.
However when we identify wrong arguments or information, we must free ourselves from beliefs which are not well founded. We shouldn’t allow others to fool us into believing their claims just because they were persistent – we need to be able to challenge and question their assertions. Of course, that won’t always be easy, because they often have a heavy emotional and psychological investment, regardless of the validity.
Gezae,first of all speak for yourself,don’t address yourself as ‘we’ unless you represent an organization,second,you just downplayed as usual the current dismal state of affairs of Eritrea I mentioned above as a grudge.This is not an individual issue,it is a national issue,it is impacting an entire nation and its people in a profoundly negative way,if criticizing those responsible creating this mayhem is grudge your character is in question.Lastly,I am not here to fool you like you said because I don’t gain anything in doing so,fact is someone fooled you a long time ago,that is why you live in exile away from those who are dear to you and buy the citizenship of your home country for a fee, otherwise you don’t belong there Isn’t that ironic.
The sad thing is the fact that he delved into personal attacks against his cousin and his extended family out of a sheer personal vendetta. That makes his presentation less credible and the historical accounts he provided fiction.
I probably have a lot of reasons to personally be at loggerheads with PFDJ. But it pains me to see individuals like Habtemariam add liability and harm to the movement through their actions and the dirty laundry they carry from the past.
I know first hand the pain he has caused to specific families in Eritrea under the guise of Jebha and the number of terrorist killings he committed against specific family members just to settle his personal feud. He was an outlaw who used Gedli for his personal end.
We can’t let such personalities hijack the movement and use it to disguise their past. After all, it drags the movement and places us in the same spot like the one we despise every minute.
The dirty laundry will not be in hiding forever just because the victims of the atrocities are long gone, some for the sake of the very Natsnet! And many are still waiting to see the return of Habtemariam to a place where they can settle their differences. That was primarily why he never attempted to go back even in the early days of Natsnet.
It is an interesting country that we care for.

The sad thing is the fact that he delved into personal attacks against his cousin and his extended family out of a sheer personal vendetta. That makes his presentation less credible and the historical accounts he provided fiction.
I probably have a lot of reasons to personally be at loggerheads with PFDJ. But it pains me to see individuals like Habtemariam add liability and harm to the movement through their actions and the dirty laundry they carry from the past.
I know first hand the pain he has caused to specific families in Eritrea under the guise of Jebha and the number of terrorist killings he committed against specific family members just to settle his personal feud. He was an outlaw who used Gedli for his personal end.
We can’t let such personalities hijack the movement and use it to disguise their past. After all, it drags the movement and places us in the same spot like the one we despise every minute.
The dirty laundry will not be in hiding forever just because the victims of the atrocities are long gone, some for the sake of the very Natsnet! And many are still waiting to see the return of Habtemariam to a place where they can settle their differences. That was primarily why he never attempted to go back even in the early days of Natsnet.
It is an interesting country that we care for.
