Wedi Vacaro is a great Eritrean hero . His messages to the coward generals and officials and his unlimited contribution to free Eritrea from the cruel non Eritreans in power will be remembered for ever.
RIP Wedi Vacaro.
Death to sworn enemies of the people Iseyas and his puppets.
Let’s honor the memory of Dr. Tewolde Tesfamariam (Wedi Vacaro) by following the example of our Eritrean brothers and sisters in the UK. Let’s form our baitos in our respective localities and elect our legitimate leaders. The elected local leaders will then elect country-wide leaders. This is what Justice-Seeking Eritreans in the UK did. If all Justice-Seeking Eritreans world-wide follow the UK model, the next step is to elect our Global Leaders. If we do so, we can easily end dictatorship in our country and end the suffering of the Eritrean people.
Wedi Vacaro; a pioneer of the idea of organizing starting at local community level and growing it to regional and global sphere with a functioning relation between each. He foresaw such structure will do more than bringing us together. It strengthen our bond and aspiration and hence allow us to direct our resources to confront the problem at hand at full scale. He is also a pioneer in mobilizing not only the scattered justice seekers but moved the silent majority with his public briefings of the problem and ways to circumvent it. Better organization, structure, and communication among the various communities was the core of this bottom up design of leadership. Many were excited of his campaign and were rushing to his town hall style discussion. We were unfortunate to loose him this early. His idea and vision, however is still alive.
Global Initiative (GI) models similar grass root movement to assemble a global leadership that starts by electing leaders at local or community level and going up to regional and continental stage. There are also some communities with their own initiation who have done that and established it. It sounds good. Given the grand mission is one and the same it is assumed these groups can be linked and avoid duplicating tasks. Communication schemes can be laid down for effective coordination of tasks. The one last point I want to raise is that having good ideas is not enough. Effort should be placed on selling the idea to the subjects. This is where Wedi Vacaro had supreme advantage. He had good intuition of mobilization for your cause. Public speaking with its art component has to be stepped up.
Wedi Vacaro (RIP) used to say at several meetings (gatherings), “I’m going to tell it aka ክትኩሳ እየ!”. What secret could he know? Any idea about that issue?
