Teclay Abraha dedication for Eritrean cause reflects the history of 1970’s generation sacrifice of a nation
that was a matter of pride . Patriotic spirit of our unsung heroes was about people not a flag .
But to speak about these young generation it is disturbing scenario . they don’t have mentors to lean-on
except either to surrender or to flee . Imagine if military file and rank officers couldn’t defend themselves
from injustice it sends warning alarm to civilian population .

      “Jebhan Shaebian 300 bet-maeserti neyruwen ” .
Ata hawna AMLAKH aytiferhn neta hasot kemey ikhum tidefruwa .
I think our moral character from whole lifetime experience associated with feelings
about social conduct is essential feature of humans . It require the right desire and
the right reason when we reached at our matured age .
Dishonesty serve for evil and devil use HAZO as his preacher to prepare a sermon
for his lies and affirm his commands . I care less if he took it personal but the truth
is we only praise or blame forces for actions taken deliberately by choice .
I HATE LIARS BECAUSE THEIR LIFE IS BASED ON LIES . We see them around .

      • Hazo October 31, 2016

Ahmed Saleh’s nerve had been touched when he read the word “Jebha” he started accusing Hazo as a “liar”. Here is the exact and correct quote as written above. See who is the “LIAR”,
“ኣብቲ ግዜቲ ኣብ ምሉእ ኤርትራ ዕስራን ሓሙሽተን ኣብይተ ማእሰርቲ ኔረን፣ ጅብሃን ሻዕብያ ህግደፍ ልዕሊ ሰለተ ሚእቲ ኣብያተ ማእሰርቲ መስሪቶም፣ ኣማኢት ኣሸሓት ኣሲሮም፣ ኣሰዲዶምን።”

You can fool around in this forum but I want to assure you it doesn’t
bother my consciousness because I know where you come from .
If lies satisfy your ego , go ahead I can’t do nothing about it except
          to confront negative influences .
For your information we are born naturally similar way but it is the characters , personalities and bad habits that separate us . To use
100 nicknames shows side effects of mental disorder .

Another great interview, thanks Assenna.Teclay’s generation was the catalyst that set the stage for the ignition of our armed struggle to another level.Majority of these voices are dead or silent now.I hope Assenna will fetch those who are alive one by one and have a candid interview like this, they are a point of reference,a missing link between the old and the young, this link is what HGDEF yanked from the post liberation generation, the generation that was christened to the image of the tyrant and his colors. That is why you see comments like Senay above. We cannot tell the story of the beautiful butterfly by omitting its origin the larvae.

  • Teclay October 31, 2016

The first question after the introduction,,,Our brother Amanuel asked his gust (Mr.Teclay ) to evaluate and express his experience concerning the young generation in 60s and 70s VS today’s , as both generations were/are under መግዛእቲ……..Amanuel,you are intelligent and educated journalist ,why don’t you find out by yourself .There had not been any መግዛእቲ at all until 1991 ….Let alone in in the 60s,there had not been መግዛእቲ in the 80s. ….Amanuel ,what you used to hear while you was in Sahil is a complete lie….Yes we can understand you,,if some one,at the early stage of his /her life, was told a lie by professional lairs ,it is very difficult to rid of it….To disprove the mad Ghedli generations claim of መግዛእቲ consider only two things:
-The Ghedli generation tell you – “General Aman was the head of the Ethiopian government “–Have you ever herd in the world that the head of the government is from the colonized ppl?? Was it the same during Turks or Italian rule ???? This is absurd .
-If there was መግዛእቲ…why didn’t we experience and an exodus and all type humiliation?
Brother Amanule ,erase everything what you had heard in Sahil and try to find out the truth .This will help you greatly, in your profession as a journalist ,while at the end only the truth stands for ever.

    • AHMED SALEH !!! October 31, 2016

      Teclay
Amanuel can not help if you refuse to swallow the truth for twenty-five years . There
is nothing truth to stand for ever except to admit Eritrea became sovereign nation at
the end . Remember when I used to mention about TIGRAY-TIGRIGNI elements inside
our forum , time revealed my suspicion wasn’t false accusation . It is funny to observe
our past humble attitude to Ethiopian government exploited as a weakness and gave
you opportunity to meddle in Eritrean politics internal affairs .
Regardless our country’s recent predicament we have the obligation to share common
basis , the need for social attachment and loyalty to our people . And your attempt to
challenge the past instead we face present challenges doesn’t make any difference
but to waste our time and energy .
By the way Assenna forum keep deleting your posts to get lost from our site and you
keep coming back begging . No shame , no integrity , poor southern neighbor .

    Hello naysayers
I read commentators self-sabotaging opinions with attitude to yell recklessly for getting some
attention in unusual way . Their reputation has been to isolate and delude themselves rather than
join the movement for justice and peace . Cowards behind the screen do not hesitate to undermine
and discredit the brave souls .
We can’t feel offended with sane people twisted mind for their choice to be victims of awareness
and blindness through their GOD given natural senses . Denial is nothing but self-deceit .
Teclay comments represent ideas of a semi educated fool teacher aimed to his ignorant fool students .

ato Teklay Abraha talks a lot “how bad Eritrea was under Emperor Haile Selassie …” but fails to compare the present generation with his generation. Below is how Eritrea’s most open minded writer describes that era. If in doubt, ask Dr. Bereket, Dr Amare, Seyoum Haregot, Degiat Kekia, Haji Gonafer … “Anyone who lived in Asmara in the 50s and 60s would notice how peaceful and thriving it was. Factories were churning out all kinds of goods, mostly destined for Ethiopia. Construction was at pace with the demand of the city dwellers; even teachers used to afford owning their houses. Thousands of Kebabi residents were commuting everyday with bicycles to work in construction sites and factories. Cottage industries of various sorts were flourishing. Privately owned buses and trucks from near (within Eritrea) and far (all over Ethiopia) made Asmara a hub center of humanity and commerce. Markets were full with all kinds of goods and food products, catering to people from all over the villages, towns and the city itself. Students were attending good schools, with a disproportionately high number of them making it to higher institutions everywhere in Ethiopia – Haile Selassie University, Alemaya College, Polytechnic School, Santa Familia, etc. … 2

    • Hazo October 31, 2016

…. The cinema houses were always full, with Indian, Italian and American movies as their staple shows. The city was soccer crazy, with great teams making it to the top of the national tournaments. Renaissance in music was to be seen in the great bands the city was graced by. And, for a third world, the services that the people in Asmara used to get – electricity, water supply, health care, education, police protection, transportation, sanitation, etc – were excellent. And in its heydays, the city had a sizable number of foreigners – Italians, Americans, Arabs and Indians (baynan) – that gave it a slight cosmopolitan feel. No wonder Asmara was known then as “the African Gateway to Middle East and Europe”.10 The golden years of Asmara were to suddenly end in the early 70s when ghedli showed up in Kebessa in full force, the same way that normal life in Metahit was interrupted a decade or so earlier.

One of the great ghedli lies frequented to buttress the “We had it so bad with Ethiopia” narrative was that the Haile Selassie government dismantled Eritrean factories and moved them to Shoa. To the contrary, many of the industries associated with colonial Italy were built during Haile Selassie era….
And this economic performance was to continue throughout the 60s (except for brief recession triggered by the closure of the Suez Canal), with the two Expositions (Expo ’69 and ’72) as its crowning moments. In the book Asmara Expo,12 the figures of this growth are provided in a tangible way, with impressive gains registered in manufacturing, in mechanized agriculture and in import/export. “

I can sense that you are old aged person who knows many things of our past
but an opponent to Eritrean struggle for independence . I refrain from making
any judgment but it doesn’t smell right especially after your 24/7 fight on behalf
        of Weyane interest

        • Tekie November 6, 2016

Ahmed Saleh, like the Arabs, you look to be terrified of our big christian neighbor, and hide behind Eritrean independence. you look to be paranoid of the natural link between Tigray and Kebessa fearing the over all influence that will have on the Eritrean ethnic balance. you better confess your nightmare and come out clean instead of designating Kebessans as” southern neighbors!.” out of no where you are acting “super hero” but A hero never ends up rotting in some corner of the world !
