As you know unexpected things happen to people but we can make the best out of any unpleasant happenstance and move on or break apart gravitating to the negative. I prefer the first choice and I hope you do too, for there no perfection in human life!

No matter how close to a saint a human being may be every good man will die with at least a small content of chauvinism as every woman will with a certain degree of feminism. Chauvinism is inherent to man as Feminism is to woman; we can only work to guarantee gender equality in a society through constitutional law but we cannot completely reverse or erase our gender related issues and views without changing our gender. Good men are feminists that protect women by endorsing gender equality, yet they may fumble a bit in the co-existential journey for they cannot acquire a woman’s psychological mindset in full, only can they approximate it! I may have been a victim of this reality in my last expressions about Ambassador Hanna but I can only walk pass the experience with apology partially blaming my gender for the hiccup, and here, I do!

People talked in my forum about the “P-word” out of its context though as if it were street oriented vulgarism. I disagree because “The human penis is an external male organ that additionally serves as the urinal duct. “ People may call the body part different names but Penis is its most decent and universally accepted biological expression usable in decent human institutions such as medical schools and hospitals. I therefore did not use the term in a vulgar way although my association of the president’s organ with the Ambassador should have remained unuttered!

Genet: Selam Fetsum: It is highly unbecoming to write what you wrote. You look down at women and you have demonstrated that you think women achieve what they do by their looks and not their intelligence or hard work. What a shame.

Response: I appreciate many intelligent women and have voted for them for political post in my region in support of gender equality. I have written a book “from feminist to rapist” in defense of women that you can access from theAmazon Books. I, however, don’t have respect for cruel women and tend to treat them exactly like I treat men of their likes. I don’t look down at women but I have a problem with very selfish and insensitive people about human suffering irrespective of their gender. I think women achieve success through hard-work and intelligence like any other successful people but I also believe some women love taking advantage of their looks to succeed in life. I am not ashamed of believing in this.

I am not sure if you are aware of it but there is no Eritrean woman who has been degraded, not for her political stand, but for her womanhood than Sophia Tesfamariam. An insult to one Eritrean woman because of her gender is a degrading insult to all Eritrean women. Never let the rascals (ዓዋሊግ) people on the opposition side play with your dignity. I am sure the author would not use the same sexual connotation to describe the PFDJ men such as Yemane Ghebrab.

Nor did I say “eritrean women are not capable of going up the ladder of power unless they sleep with powerful men” Your assumption and prediction about what I will say in democratic Eritrea concerning women are therefore fictitious and your allegation false! There is no question that we have to fight more for the liberation of the Eritrean women and women in general although the main fight for their equality must be navigated by our women in the front line. Women must guarantee their equality by law with good men in the society like genuine feminists did it for western women with good men in their societies. Your healthy confrontation is therefore welcome!

I have several times written stuff like this about few men in his circle, as you will see one of them in this opportunity. But Ambassador Hanna is not like Aster Fessehatsion, Amina, Senait debessay, Aster Yohannes et al or anyone of our political prisoners such as Bitweded et al and Dawit Isacc et al that are rusting to death under her brutal system although she is a woman. She is like Sofia T. Mariam that does not care about their traumatized kids and life, period. I don’t think she respects women at all, she could not have accepted what he did to our sisters now that we know the details from direct sources and would not have served the regime infested with raping young Eritrean girls everywhere in the name of national service. She undermined our people shamelessly defending the indefensible denying the most obvious tragedy in our society not for survival but by the curse of her destructive mindset and political outlook.

I don’t think a person that has no concept of human value to the extent of openly denying the situation of our victims of injustice deserves respect nor do I believe bad mouthing to express a bad woman’s tragic denial of the obvious necessarily means mistreating women like what I have been accused of by Sister Genet et al in this episode. “You have to understand that human right includes Women’s right to be treated with respect and decency” but is this also valid for men? You know how many names the guys in the dictator’s circle have been abusively called by our people in the past. Should an abusive woman be vindicated from being abused because of her gender? Should one arrest the temptation of calling Sofia obese or overweight in response to the vulgar words she has been using against few good Eritrean men throughout her conformist political career because of political correctness in view of Womanism? Comment: There is no reason for anyone to stop reading me because of using unpleasant expression in my phrasing somewhere in the input because people should not only expect things they want to read from a freelance writer like me. I don’t want people to misunderstand my relationship with the society more than what it really is. I am an Eritrean that shares information with the people on individual level of the relationship with no vested interest in the country’s future political life. Readers should differently see my personality from my ideas because the first has nothing to do with our collective effort to democratize the dehumanized society and I don’t get paid for this. I don’t have to be politically correct to share my thoughts with my people for I have no burden of suffering the consequence of losing a potential political post in future Eritrea. Once again, I say sorry about the situation and understand what you mean though I think of me as an activist that does not practice political correctness and don’t like to conform to taboos. But you don’t have to like me to read me for this has nothing to materially do between us or between the society and me. We are not here to love each other but to solve a common problem through mass based inclusive strategy. I am only doing my spiritual role as an activist like any other person in the feel, the reason you see me getting into controversies here and there against the taboos. This situation should not come in between, however, and should die out like my other few controversial episodes in the past because my personality has nothing to do with our responsibility to change our situation together with all our other differences in place.

Comment: Simply fantastic. There is no doubt that you will succeed behind Assenna’s support and OUR VOICE’s supervision. Like I said in the past, London and then England should start the committee election process for the rest of us to follow. I am very excited by this news and let us do it together this time. I do have a serious reminder though and that is the importance of electing the committee members from the grassroots/mass that has no direct connection (on membership level) with the political parties in the opposition camp. I modestly remind you to make sure of this for the committee members are the ones that will eventually end up at the highest stratum of leadership, so said THE COUNCIL in OUR VOICE’s Bottom-Top pyramid. We cannot afford to have members of the parties in the committees at all although they can facilitate and elect.
