Eritrea has rented 3 of its 126 islands to Iran says Dr. Abdallah, a famous journalist and political analyst in an interview with a local TV Station.

According to Dr. Abdallah, Iran’s Republican Guard are training the Yemeni-Shiite armed rebel group Al-Houthis in three of the rented Islands. The trained militia are then transferred from the Eritrean islands to Saada via the port of Medi.

Medi Port is a small Yemeni port between the Port of Selif 40 killometers outside Hodeidah and the border of Saudi Arabia.

The training which encompass different military fields lasts from 2-6 months.

Leasing the land for turism business or any prodactive business is part of a plan for removing the sanction. Intimidating the Whole UN and leasing land for terrorist Activity is prolonging the sanction.

So what the hell is going on? This man is beggig for his own removal and People faile to read him. He is too hypocraticaly proud and couldnt implement the constitution which lead to election and thus eventual going Down from self appointed president for life.

  • ahmed saleh October 10, 2014

Even though we might oppose the regime but we should exercise restraint not to
support every accusations without proven evidence . To escape from their failures
to use Eritrea as a scape goat has being going on for a while .
Years back ago Yemen accused Eritrea for smuggling weapons from Iran to Hutti rebels
to find a way of excuse for military support from Saudia and USA . But according reports
from WIKI- LEAKS it was politically motivated attempts of Ex-Pres. Abdella Saleh of Yemen .

The open secrate of pfdj staying in Power for so long time:

The military School is desgined and taught by tagadalitis.
The tagadalitis are the state, the party, the leaders. So the by default the military is the defender of pfdj thus the state.

There are many countries in the world just like Eritrea but there has been mass movement, demonstration, even coup to ease or stop the supression of the government because except some 8 countries in the world the rest have max 2 soldiers for each 1000 People.

Guess how many soldiers Eritrea has for each 1000 eri-people including the reserve because Eritrea is one of the countries which has active reserves due to the non-ending service. If you Guess right then you get the answer correctly why eritreans silent at home.

    • Tamrat Tamrat October 11, 2014

the answer is 53 soidiers per 1000 eri-people. Remember the cadres, police, massmedia, Securities ets. North Koria is no.1 and eri is no.2.

      • Habesha October 11, 2014

Tamrat the rat it is not 53 soldiers per 1000 Eri-People, It is 1000 soldiers per 1000 Eri-People. Now go hung your self before Eritrea is killing you slow agony death.

        • Tamrat Tamrat October 11, 2014

That is a lie. If it were 100% then, pfdj was replaced by some rational people who can do/say reasonable Things. The problem is 52 soldiers can silence 948 civiliance, if you dont believe me check Eritrea. Remember they are good for only to silence civiliance, to force minors for slavery, and secure the border so that no eritrean Escape.

          • Habesha October 12, 2014

No Eritreans are known for defeating the largest three consecutive ruler Ethiopians(Haile.S, Mengistu, and Meles) armies supported by the two super powers. Just swallow it!!!

          • Tamrat Tamrat October 12, 2014

Ya, ya we heard about it and we want to use that force to win isaias if you know what i mean. just ‘winning’ two super Power and one of the poorest country in the world wont give you a free ticket for sitting in Power for ever while the majority of eri People are on exodus mode. So comming to the point one of the reason that People are leaving Eritrea is due to the sanction and renting the islands for the purpose of terror activities would make the sanction go for a longer time.

      Daniel Joseph,
You are almost close to the truth brother. Italians created the first and the worst apartheid system in the world, worst than the South Africa. And we are proud to be called Eritreans by the name of our slave masters picked for us ; crazy! Shouldn’t we reconsider this colonial name, Eritrea, which has historic baggage of shame and humiliation on our forefathers. Why remain hostage to Italian/Arab colonization legacy? Let’s decolonize Eritrean people’s mentality as is the case with the land. We living in a different world of globalization today. Peace and prosperity to the Eritrean masses.

“And we are proud to be called Eritreans by the name of our slave masters picked for us ; crazy! Shouldn’t we reconsider this colonial name, Eritrea, which has historic baggage of shame and humiliation on our forefathers. ”

        Berihu G

Who gave Ethiopia it’s name ?. If you were not a stupid guy you would not have insulted my country on this issue.
First of all, you should know that Ethiopia was a name given by Greek Ptolemaic dynastic families that ruled Egypt to Nubians, referring to them as “dark skinned”. But it was stolen from them by warlords in your country, who after seeing it mentioned in the Holy Scriptures, took it as their name.
So, both Eritrea and Ethiopia are Greek names, and as is the case in many parts of the world, they share names that are not indigenous.
Besides, this is an Eritrean website, so mind your business. Buzz somewhere else … or keep your stupidity for yourself.

Frequently repeating the language of Ethiopian Feudal and tyrant rulers will not restore Eritrea back to Ethiopian colonization.

        • Gidewon October 12, 2014

Indeed, “kem kedem yimeslekin w’hij yiwesdekin(yetifakin). Just stop day dreaming and as with your fake name ‘find out where your brother is’! Otherwise, your usual ajewjow/halewlow gedifika swallow the bitter truth and try to make a proper and legal U-turn. No matter what your or your likes wish and pray, Ethiopia WILL NEVER, NEVER have the CANCEROUS & CURSED people and country back in the next thousand years. Get this fact and reality into your thick/brick head. Sadly, with your kind of arrogant and losers people poor Eritrea is back to the dark ages that it belongs. In the 21st century Eritrea (Singapore) is the only nation that its people are with no constitution, no elected government, no genuine with real guts citizens, no electricity, no food, no water, no peace & jobs and…… Denial of the reality on the ground and living in a virtual world with a big dose of romanticism is a weak defense mechanism.

          • ahmed saleh October 13, 2014

The reality on the ground is our weakness not to take responsibility on our national
affairs misdeeds . Otherwise the question of the sovereignty is a done deal issue
recognized by international world . That is in fact a bitter truth hard swallow .
Get over your unrealistic and unpractical dream to unite with Ethiopia . After 24
years separation to ask for reconciliation with an old enemy sounds like a joke to
the ears of injured people . The healing process ahead won’t be easy as you imagine
from far way safe corner behind a screen . Our people bled under Ethiopians and they
are still bleeding under HGDF , so there isn’t any differences .

Do you really think, people will believe you that you are Eritrean? You don’t have to be undercover Ethiopian. Your post is telling us, you are not Eritrean. Just say, the same as your other Ethiopians brothers and sisters are saying. “Eritrea is part of Ethiopia” See, at least they are being truthful about their wishes and dreams. Even if it is just a dream, I respect that. If you were a real Eritrean, you would have knows the shame, humiliation our people and deliberate hemorrhaging of our country by a Tigrian/Ethiopian (Isayas) is more damaging than any illegal occupiers of the past. This hard fact is ONLY understood by an Eritrean. People like you are insulting the Eritrean people, because you really want Eritrea to be part of Ethiopia. Eritrea will never go back to being part of Ethiopia. But there is a potential to be good brotherly/sisterly neighbors, after DIA is gone. To think otherwise is being simply a fool!

Eritreans from Canada caught trying to join ISIS, the Islamist Jihadist terror group

My advice to Eritreans, watch what your Eritrean children are doing. Some Eritreans have already died as condoms of this Islamist groups in Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq. This is what happens when you brain wash children that they are “Arabs” and their language is not Tigre, Tigrinya, Bilen or Saho. Teach them that they are not Arabs and that no Arab will accept them as equal if they burn Eritrean identity.

RCMP using new measures to stop ‘high-risk travellers’

    Colin Freeze and Carrie Tait

    The Globe and Mail

    Published Friday, Sep. 19 2014,

Ali Abubaker and Naomi Mahdere were talented teenagers. He was a hip-hop poet, riffing about inequality and injustice; she was a polished singer, mimicking pop stars such as Beyonce. In 2011, Ms. Mahdere won a talent competition put on by Calgary’s Afrikadey Arts & Culture Society. Mr. Abubaker placed second.

Ms. Madhere, now 19, wanted to study biochemistry and become a doctor. Mr. Abubaker, now 22, was studying civil engineering at Mount Royal University.

At some point, a romantic relationship between the two blossomed. Ms. Mahdere, an Eritrean-Christian by heritage, converted to Islam. Those who knew Mr. Abubaker, whose parents hailed from Eritrea and the Philippines, were alarmed by his religious stridency, which began surfacing in his poetry.

Ms. Mahdere’s mother became so concerned about Mr. Abubaker’s views on Islam that she called the RCMP’s national security team last year. She told investigators she believed her daughter and her boyfriend were going to Syria to fight in the war. The couple applied for new passports in October, 2013, wanting the paperwork rushed. In November, they presented passport officials with one-way tickets to London, England.

That’s when the police stepped in. Working with Passport Canada officials, they picked up Mr. Abubaker, Ms. Mahdere and their friend Hamza Omer, on charges of passport fraud, keeping them grounded in Canada and off a flight to London. All three pleaded guilty. Their combined fines will likely total around $3,000 – a small sum considering the Crown prosecutor argued their actions could have brought the integrity of the entire Canadian passport system into disrepute.

You just want us to hate our ethiopian neigbours by mistaking them (all) for evils like you are, you spread lies about the eritrean society (“brain wash children that they are “Arabs”” bla bla bla)
Every moron could google for a criminal individual with ethiopian ancestors and try to blackmail the whole ethiopian for it.

          1. They take a new cybername
          2. They write comments using “carrot and stick” methods against the Eritrean society – pretending they were Eritrean justice seekers.
          3. When they think they people at this forum welcomed them, they start with “stick without carrot” methods.

My suggestion for them: Your daily exeperience as hgdf or demhit donkeys is not “transferable”.

Well said brother/sister Tezareb. Benjamin Franklin once said, hallmark of a fool is to criticize, condemn and complain like selamawit2. Let the ignorant fools criticize, condemn and complain, it is after all their way camouflaging their hollow heads stupidity. However, Washington, Jerusalem and Egypt should be seriously concerned with Iranian ambitions in East Africa, especially regarding the strategic Red Sea passage. In fact, so must be Saudi Arabia. There is no doubt that an Iranian military presence in nations like Somalia, Eritrea and Sudan is virtually outflanking Saudi Arabia from the West. Furthermore, I am always suspicious of the stinking Arabs. It is not imaginary, it is real. They are the major cause for all the troubles in our region that is in East Africa. Peace and prosperity to all oppressed people all over the world. Indeed, injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

      @O.K. Mister super-brain “Berihu G.”,

      1. let’s assume, you are NOT “binjam anjal” aka 7 similar cybername* and we would believe you, you were not “condemning” and “complaining”. And furthermore, let’s assume you a christened Eritrean.
Are you saying your mother and your father have been telling you, you were arab and mislead you by teaching you your motherlanguage
was not you motherlanguage? Is this where you are coming from? Please answer directly if you have guts – no evasive gaggling, that’s boring!!!

      2. quot.”…should be seriously concerned with Iranian ambitions in East Africa, especially regarding the strategic Red Sea passage.”

This is what we the justice seeker are: CONCERNED about and with this news! How do come to the conclusion, that this worring is yours(?) only? And how do you come to think, tezareb shares “your” opinion in this point. Do you know him? We know him very well

        Hi sister

It seems Assenna is being taken over by unionist, hatemonger fools who are anti Eritrean people. I don’t think they understand reasoning. I think, they are consumed with so much hate toward the Eritrean people in general, they use any thing to insult and destroy the Eritrean psych. I have a very good idea. Those people are not part of the average and everyday Ethiopians, but specific people with a coordinated plan to degrade the Eritrean people in the worst time of our lives. They may be have connection with the Eritrean people. Let us not forget to let them know, ordinary Ethiopians don’t act they way this group of people do. As far as the Eritrean people concern, those hatemonger people are no different than the dictator in Eritrea.
Down with DIA and hatemonger gorup!

        • selamawit2 October 16, 2014

Hi Gentina the Original, nice to read from You again!

“It seems Assenna is being taken over by unionist, hatemonger fools who are anti Eritrean people.”
They try, but we won’t let them taking over this very importatant Forum for Eritrean and frineds justice seekers.
There are two reasons why i aswer them at all:
          1. When they cowardly change their cybernames, i have a bad “gut feeling” like Brother Ahmed Saleh said it, but at first i am not sure. So i prefer to check this out, if you know hat i mean. They expose theirselves if you ask them quetions…:-)

          2. This is a tremendously important media which reaches a huge reading public. Some are aware oft these back-stabbing “hatemonger fools” but others would lose too much time recognizing them. WE MUST EXPOSE THEM ALSO ACTIVELY – nomatter if “these “”hatemonger fools” are unionists, demhits or undercover hgdfs…

          • selamawit2 October 16, 2014

Please ignore Mr. Many names, he is very sad to see Eritrea separated from Ethiopia, he uses the same language thinking that he will stop us from our struggle for justice and freedom.

        • selamawit2 October 12, 2014

Thank you very much for your advice, dear “ሓውኻ ኣበይ ኣሎ?”
You are right, we shoudn’t give them too much attention.
But we should also hinder them to the infiltrate the forums of justice seekers. The www is tremendously important, that’s why they (hgdf, demhit and similars) investigate so much (money and stuff) in using it for propaganda…

  • Simon G. October 12, 2014

Is this just me or the commentators at Assenna’s forum has became almost like childish?
What had happened to some of the respected members like Meretse, Genet-O, Belay Nega, (beside Ahmed S, SS2, Eritrawit, rezen, Salim, etc.)?
I need some challenge in ideology and I don’t see it anymore. Pitty.

  • Tamrat Tamrat October 12, 2014

Dear assenians, stop person attacking. Attack the idea or the argument. I dont like this personal attack on Selamawit2. Selamawit2 is a decent young girl who always forward her arguments without any personal attack unless personaly provocked. So leave her alone. And forward Your arguments against her arguments.

And i want to emphasize you one major thing. In this sight there are at least four major Groups. One who opposes hgdef policy because it is oppressive, useless, not compatable with eritrean reality and culture and tradition and sees a better Eritrea for all after the removal hgdef policy once and for all. Another Group which blieves in hgdef policy but they blieve that the top leaders and some corrupts cadres couldnt perform the polciy correctly. The Third Group is the core hgdef which knows their policy brings Eritrea no where but only misery and they wnat to abuse their hgdef position to Maximum for their and their Close ones personal Gaines. The fourth ones are the ones which uses the opportunity hgdef distraction brings on Eritrea. A simple example for the last one is a hgdef Family asking asylum in the west or a human trafficker.

And Selamawit2 is by all means in the first Group.

    • selamawit2 October 12, 2014

Brother Tamrat, thank you very, very much for your kind words!

You are right: As long as there is hope that an indvidual is seeking for constructive discourse, my respect is with him/her – also if our political views differ.
But if somebody is here to attack us Eritrean and of course also our Ethiopian brothers/sisters, no back-stabbing or barbaric methods can hold me back from saying what i want to say in a language they understand.

Anyway, you and me will stay brother and sister forever!
You know, recently, when i was again watching our heroic and wise brother Amanuels dicussion with Eritrean refugees in Ethiopia,
on-again it made me very, very said.
And you know what (beside the work of our current heros and heroines) made me feel, that God is still with us Eritreans?
The fact, that it is Ethiopia, who give a hand to our brothers and sisters! I sure, when hgdy is gone, our two countries will live so peacefully…hmmm, it will be so wonderful!

P.S. i had to smile, when i read “young girl”. you are really very charming, but i am an ordinary adult. 😉
