The Eritrean National Democratic Forces (ENDF) remembers with pride the initiative taken by democratic forces from within the Eritrean Defence Force on 21 January 2013. The ENDF fully supports the Eritrean Military’s legitimate call for constitutional democracy, and release of prisoners of conscience.  We note the sacrifices paid to make that historic call against all the odds in the country. The ENDF was dismayed by the betrayal of some units and their officers at that time which lead to the death of yet another Eritrean hero Col. Saied Ali Hijay, affectionately known as “Wedi Ali” and the arrest of his colleagues. We call upon the army to side with the Eritrean people and their aspirations for dignity, justice, freedom, equality, and peace.  Generations of Eritreans sacrificed their lives for these yet to be realised sacred aspirations. It is incumbent upon the army to reject the one-man regime and call for the release of their colleagues and all other innocent Eritreans languishing in foxhole prisons.

The ENDF also calls upon all progressive Eritreans to fully support the Eritrean army’s call for democracy and freedom to be upheld in Eritrea. Let’s all make concerted efforts to pressure the regime to release all prisoners of conscience and obey the will of the Eritrean people. At the same time, we call upon the international community to listen to the call of the Eritrean people and the Eritrean Defence Forces for assistance in their quest for democratic change.

We salute the brave hearts of “Forto 21”!

The Just quest of the people shall triumph!

Every Eritrean, young and adult inside and outside Eritrea is on your side.
In my own personal opinion, If Eritreans who are financing the regime withdrow from contribution and The Eritrean defence force refuse to kill and arrest their own people and disobey the regime The Eritrean 2nd Revolution could be completed within 48 hrs.
