Assenna confirms many Eritrean hostages are still in captivity

Every One Group, a humanitarian organisation based in Italy has today, November 14, reported that “611 Eritrean refugees have reached Israel, after being freed by traffickers” in Sinai; (‘who felt the pressure of humanitarian activists and international media.’)

However, victims of traffickers who have been directly contacted by demo.archive.assenna.com today confirmed that they are still suffering in the hands of Bedouin traffickers, in Sinai. According to them, nothing has changed.

This particular group of 37 men and women victims, who have spoken in pain about their enslavement and torture on Radio Assenna, a week ago, reiterate that their suffering is getting worse by day. They even told demo.archive.assenna.com that their number has increased to 58 as the Bedouins have brought 21 new hostages.

The particular location, where these 58 Eritrean Bedouin victims are held is called Serah and the boss of the trafficking business is Samih; the eldest son of this family of traffickers.  According to the victims, there are 4 secret places within the area, which are owned by this family of human trafficking business.

demo.archive.assenna.com has also assigned an Eritrean man in Israel, who had been released a few months ago after $32,000 ransom, to find out if there are more Eritreans in similar situation. And he has told demo.archive.assenna.com that he has been in touch with another group who told him they are in captivity, facing torture.  Contacts in Israel also indicate they are not aware of new arrivals from Sinai involving huge numbers.

Assenna can neither confirm nor deny if the incident of the mass release of Eritrean refugees has taken place. If true, this is good news which should delight every human being. However, people have to be cautious – if untrue, it will have grave consequences to the victims who are in life and death situations, under the inhuman traffickers, experiencing sufferings beyond imagination. Every victim counts! So we should never get complacent until the last man and woman are released.

Recent audio clips of the Sinai victims, will follow

    I don’t undestand why are they keep going after all these horrors to the same dangerous places .
    Is that because of luck of information or someones are deceiving them by convincing for better future.
    I don’t know, it is unbeleivable.

  • truly, Truly i say to you November 14, 2011

    Optimistically i say this:-
    SING PRAISE TO THE LORD, WHO RULES IN ZION! TELL EVERY NATION WHAT HE HAS DONE!
    (Psalm: 9; 11)
    God remembers those who suffer; he does not forget their cry,and he punishes who those who wrong them.
    (Psalm 9; 12)
    The needy will not always be neglected; the hope of the poor will not be crushed forever.
    (Psalm: 9;18) Say everybody praise the Lord! Amen! Hallelujah! praise the Lord!
    Thanks to Meron Estifanos, Elsa Churum, Amanuel Iyasu and to others Eritrean activists and foreign human right organisations, specially to Israeli Government.

    1. Do not trust most of the Arab media? Worst is Egyptian media. These are the media that has been telling us all the lies, including “Egypt does not have African prisoners” or “Israel is responsible for the human trafficking in Sinai” …
    Egypt is putting mild pressures now on its own Egyptian Bedouin human traffickers, only because Egypt was so shocked to see the true image of Egypt in the images of American, European and Israeli television screens. This was coupled by the threat of massive demonstrations in front of the Egyptian embassies through out the world.
    This is a good start but not enough. There are more than 1000 Eritreans still held as hostages throughout the Sinai desert. There is still the issue of investigating what has been and is happening in Sinai.
    This is not time to stop. Egypt’s tourism industry needs to be targeted. We need to prepare posters that show Egypt’s tourist destinations bloodied in human kidneys. We need the full cooperation of all computer image experts, drafts men or women, print experts, journalists …. e.g. an image of bloodied Egyptian pyramid.

    2. Egypt needs to be exposed and its tourist industry need to be targeted. We need to tell and educate Americans and Europeans to avoid Egypt as a tourist destination until it cleans the Sinai desert from the Egyptian human trafficking criminals.
    Egypt needs to stop deporting and jailing Eritreans. Egypt must protect all African asylum seekers in its land. We need to telephone to each Egyptian Embassy around us. We need to demonstrate in front of the Egyptian Embassies with “bloody” posters targeting Egyptian tourist destinations.
    In short, target the Egyptian tourist industry. This is not time to stop. We need to hammer this fact to every European and American. “Avoid Egypt as tourism destination” “Do not visit Egypt” “Egypt is killing Africans” “Egypt: where is my kidney?” “Egypt: where are my eyes?” “Egypt: where is my liver?” “Egypt: where is my sister?” “Egypt: where is my brother?”

    selamat;

    it is really horrible and worrying to watch your compatriots suffering in that desert with out help in the hands of those inhuman and atheist Bedouin . I want to know if some one has created a petition to the white house for the Obama administration to reconsider the aid given to Egypt to pressure the Egyptian authorities give due attention to the plight of the innocent African migrants. Because the white house always consider a petition if there is more than 25,000 signatures in support of it.

    @Assena
    why don’t you give the phone number in which you contacted the victims to the everyone group and they might detect the location through the network provider or any other means and catch the traffickers and release the hostages?

    • Barentu November 15, 2011

      Abdi,
      Arabs do not care about Africans like you that they call “Abeed”. To the Arab regimes or to the Arab public, you are not worth their dogs. Arabs do not give a sh**t to you or your likes.
      If the Arab regimes in Sudan or Egypt want the location, names or phone numbers, they can get through their own police and security contacts, and they have it in their data base but they do not care as long as the victims are African.
      How many Arab regimes spoke up when more than half a million proud moslem Darfuris were bombed, burned down, raped and pillaged by the Islamic Arab Republic of Sudan? Zero! Nothing! Zeep!
      How many Arabs spoke up when thousands of Africans like you were killed, jailed, raped and their money confiscated by the Arab Libyans two months ago? None!
      You are another “Abeed” to the Arabs!
      When Gadafi and al Assad started to kill “white” Arabs, the Arab League started to shout back but not when an Abeed like you is killed or raped.
