So far Asssenna has not posted it and I commend you assenna for not wasting your readers time to post a completely rubbish New year interview by Issays. Assenna and Team – I hope you stay clear from giving the most foolishly put together New Year’s message from the would-be leader in Eritrea on your palteform.
The interview was completely a waste of time. IF anything even the person who seems to have done the interview appeared to be someone who was put there for a show. Clearly the interviewer appears a bit nervous as the questioning moved on to a part of a question that was eluded to a much more serious question but the would-be leader kept spinning it.
The only thing I got out of it is from few questions that was presented to this foolish and clueless would-be leader – “the question is too deep and come back in six-months if you need an answer for this”. The point is, hello people, that he has no answer and this is gone since 1993. He has blamed – Western countries, CIA, God, Nature, Surrounding countries, Eritrean young, Eritrean women, his own compadre….
Well, those who still stick to this government in Eritrea – I hope they listen to it and go to bed thinking what they supported to this point gave them any hope.
To the would-be leader in Eritrea – do yourself a favor. It is a new year message (nothing else) and simply place it in a brief and short paragraph and wish everyone the best. That will save you a whole lot more than you think. OR get a new media person to help you with the message.
My observation: I could not think for a second that many other would be leaders in the liberation got convinced by Issays. Every day this man comes out a lot sicker than the day before. I se why the culture and fabric in Eritrea is completely contaminated and corrupted.

I used to have an eritrean friend born and grew up in addis. His father was dergist. When derg collapsed his father joined woyane. When the war brock he was deported to eritrea. His children were free to live in ethiopia or move to their father. But they choosed norway. After the the father joined them. When the father came I had a chance to have a conversation with him and not a single word about hgdef and tones of malicioce dossage of woyane. I wanted to scream when he said derg was better. Not because I do care which one is better or worse but he acted as if he was not dergist. Off corsevderg is the best thing which happened to him. through out his descussion there is one expression which confused me ie ,during the liberation time,. I asked him his plan. He said he is too old to start schooling. He will secure his pension and live in addis the rest of hi life.
So I dont understand when many say after the liberation. Liberated from what. Either yuo are liberatevor not. A hgdef member preahes about liberation still hitting the road to ethiopia camps. I dint get it. After 25 years of ‘liberation’ I unerstand not a thing. Whatvthe hell are you liberated from ? FROM a government which wanted to stop arm struggle? How can one understand from that liberation romantaization to 25 years of this cinfuessiton?
True to form of every authoritarian/totalitarian regimes,
propaganda is the center piece of their population control. This is
a psychological warfare full of veiled threats and false hopes. But the
days of total control over media will soon be over. The twin-track treachery
of PFDJ to preach defending the country while doing all it can to decapitate is now
clear as a day light for everyone to see that is with the exception of its blind supporters.
The animal farm is the exact case in point regarding Eritrea. The ELF used to teach children and the general population about it by distributing a translated book called Dembe Ensisa.
He knows that the listeners are dumb eager to
satisfy him with applause . Remember one time
in a meeting quoted to his audience ” wait you
are applauding before I finish a sentence ” .
He is groomed that way for more than 40 years to
get spoiled . Too late and too old to change
rather only to get rid of him .
