Good point! Even though we are encouraging Abraham on his intention and song, he need to work harder to be an artist. That takes some time. However, he will be there soon, if he take the positive criticism, like yours, very seriously.

I will try to go find the interview, if it could be accessed in English, since I don’t speak Tigrigna like my brother who lived in Asmara for some time a long time ago with my uncle who was married to a beautiful Asmara girl.
My comment is on what Yosief referred to as the difficulty of assigning agency to our unending suffering, and its consequences. I appreciate that we can’t afford to spend Yosief’s credibility and useful intellectual weight to single out who exactly is that agency behind all our suffering as Habesha people. This task is fraught with the dangers of being accused of fomenting destructive hatred etc. So, I will take on the task, I am spendable. I see three agencies: The first two, i.e. the powerful grip on Eritreans psyche of the deeply romantic camaraderie the self destructive so called independence war created, and those megalomaniacs exploiting it to stay in power are successfully covered by YG; it is the third and most nefarious of all that I would like to focus attention on – Muslim Eritrea! This is where the cancer looms. This group is far beyond any hope of reform. This is an entity that would always remain savagely opposed to any hope of reuniting the Habesha brothers sitting on each side of the Mereb River. This is the most dangerous of all the agencies out there exploiting Eritrean nationalism to advance its wicked Muslim agenda, exactly because it successfully employs gullible Habeshas in a project that is designed from the very start to destroy them!

Dear Abraham, congratulations for your very touching song. However, I strongly agree with the constructive criticism of Meretse and Selamawit. It is always important for all our artists to know the context of songs thereby its implementation – when we are moaning it is obvious we can’t dance(it is not our culture unlike other countries such as South Africa for example). I think you deserve appreciation for your effort. I believe it is relevant that you and other artists consider this constructive feed-back in future. Thank you my brother
I totally agree about this song, should have been in different music than Guayla. But don’t forget Eritrean’s Ears only Hear Guayla, understand guayla, and We are still under this dictator because of guayla.
