ፍሉያት ኢና!! ኣብ ቀብሪ ጓይላና
ፍሉያት ኢና!!! ንፍትሒ ቐቢርና
ፍሉያት ኢና!! ሸየጥቲ ደቅና
ፍሉያት ኢና!!!ጥለምት ናብራና
ፍሉያት ኢና!! ብሽፍታ ተመሪሕና
ፍሉያት ኢና!! ፈዳይ ሕነ ዘይወለድና።
ዓለም ብዓለማ ክትበኪ ክትሓዝን
ኣደራዕ ኮይኑ ተግባርና ዘይንደንን
ዝገበርካ ገርካ ወይከ!!ድንን
ስንፍናኻ ክትሽፍን! ትቑዝም ተስተንትን።
ወዳጃ ድርቅና ወዳጀ ትምክሕቲ
ዝነበረ እናኣጥፋእካ ኣለኹ ብሃልቲ
ብደናቑር ኣይተሰርሔን ሓወልቲ
ሓድሽ ኣይኮነን ዝነበረ ካብ ጥንቲ።
ፍሉይ እዩ ነሮ ናይ ኤርትራ
መንእሰይ ኣጢፊኡ ይገብር ፈኸራ
ኣደታት ኣብክዩ ዝገብር ዳንኬራ
ዕሸላት ኣብሪሩ ዝልምን ባጠራ
ብጭካነ ሲንጋፖር ክትከውን ኣስመራ።
ሓማሴ! ዳዕሮ ቓውሎስ ታይ? ተገብረ
ኣዳርሽ! ኣፍሪሹ ፈሪሱ ግዳምዶ! ሓደረ!
ጾሎትውን ተደግሙ ኣዳራሾም ተኾመረ
ነዚድዩ!! ወዲ ላመይ ኢልካ ምግዓረ
ነሮ!!! ህዝቢ ከጽንት ቀደምዩ ዝጀመረ።
ፍሉይ ዝኾነ ነገሰ ኣብ ማእከልና
ዝበላዕናዮ ዝበልዕ እዩ ዝመስለና
ካባና ዝተወልደ ዓመጸኛ
ንትግራይ ትግርኚ መጥፊኢና
ጅግና ኣልቦ ገይሩዋ ነዛ! ሃገርና።
ፍሉያት ኢሉ ክምህረና ዘይኸውን ሓቂ
ሓመድ እንተ ተኣከበ ኣይከውንን ወርቂ
ሃገርዶ ይምዕብል? ብቕጥፈት ብስርቂ?
ሓሶት እንተተቖጽረ ኣይከውን ስንቂ።
ፍሉያት ያኢ ካብ ኤርትራ ዝተወልደ
መፍለጢና ካብ ኮነ ህጻናት ምስዳደ
ብረሻይዳ ኢዱን እግሩ ምስ ተቐየደ
ልቡን ኮላሊቱ ኣብ ዕዳጋ ምስ ወርደ
ሕሳብ ዝቕበሉ ኣብ ፈቐዳኡ ኣዋደደ
ወልዲ ብውላዱ ከይሕጎአ ዘዕበደ።
ፍሉያት ኢና በለ ነሮ ኤርትራ
ዓዲ ሓሎ ሰፊሩ ገዲፉ ኣስመራ
ኣብ ሓዘን የላእኽ ገበርቲ ዳንኬራ
ኣብ ቤት ጸሎት ይሰድድ ኣመንዝራ
ህዝብና በታቲኑ ከም ደቂ ዛግራ።
ፍሉታ ኢና ንጀጋኑ እናኣሰራ ኣብ ጎዳጉዲ
ሓለውቶም እንተኾነ ከማኦም መራጉዲ
ምሕረት ዘይፈቱ ኣጽኒዑ ቐያዲ
ናእዚ ስርዓት ዘይተራእየ ሓድሽ ቅዲ
ጭካነታቱ ንዓለም በሊጹዎም ኣብ ዓዲ።

ክልተ ኣሕዋት በበይኑ ጸለቶም
ዋል እንተነበሩ ኣብ ስደቶም
ፍቕሪ ንኸይገብሩ ምሒላቶም
ከይተላዘቡ ይነብሩ ጸሓይ ዓሪባቶም
ሓኽሊ ምሳር ኮኑ ንጸላእቶም
ሳኣን ኢህን ሚህን ኣጽነትዋ! ታዓዶም።
ፍሉያት ኢና በለ ፈርዖን ኣስመራ
ዕሽነት በዚሑ ሓደን ክልተን ዘይቁጸራ
ዝተሸሙ ጀነራልት ኮኑ ሰብ ጹሩራ
ንህዝቦም ኣብረሶ ሓረድዎ ብኻራ
ረሳታት መንእሰይ ተሪፉ ኣብ ሳሃራ
ዝተረፉ ኮይኖም ቀለብ ንኣሞራ
መራኽብ ማእከላይ ባሒሪ ደጋጊመን መስከራ
ኣየወ!! ፍሉይ ህዝቢ!!
ኣብ ሓዘን ዝገብር ዳንኬራ።
ፍሉያት ኢና!! ንነጻነት ተርጎምቲ
ብዙሓት ኣለዉ!! ንፍትሒ ደለይቲ
ብዛዕባ ህዝቦም ንዓለም መሃርቲ
ገለን ክኣ ወቀርቲን ሓሰውቲ
ንዝመተ ስርዓት ኣለናካ ብሃልቲ
ጸነተ ሓገሮም እናፈለጡ ሓባእቲ
ደቂ ሰብ ይመስሎም ነበርቲ።

“ፍሉያት ኢና” indeed, and that attitude has always been መጥፊእትና.
Issayas knew it, and diabolically feeding it to our emotion for further self-destruction through sensitivity based by inner inferiority complex but alas camouflaged by artificial superiority complex (መን ከማና)–as psychologists tell us. Hundred odd years under colonial rules, of one form or another, obviously has its disastrous effect.
Psychologists also [and even spiritual gurus] tell us that redemption needs the unequivocal acceptance of unhealthy behaviour [or sin]. Are Eritreans ready to accept REALITY?

Good Poem.
I see those anti the nation of Eritrea are going to have a field day attaking Eritreans and our country, by misinterpreting the point. Mr Haile’s poem is pointing directly at the dictator’s propaganda machine that is destroying the Eritrean social fabric. By people who are pro union or advocates for the TPLF’s wish 1976 “Republic of Greather Tigray”, have been attaking us for being Eritreans. This is has noting to do with having inferiority or superiority complex. It is about people. People, who have been taken for granted and used for one man’s power aspiration to rule a larger geographical area. What I don’t understand is that some individuals’ mission to beat us to acept what they want. Not by understanding our situation and coming to mutula agreement, but by hate and more hate. Now, who has inferiority complex?

Respected Mr.Haile what a wonderful Poem.Normally i hate to applause much ,but this Poem is beyond my limit..I wanted to right my comment in Tigrigna ,then i understood that i was not qualified to write in Tigrigna under this rich very rich Poem.

Who can not agree with the title ?no one .But as Mr.Habte said” every body can interpret the poem the way he or she understands it”…For me it is multi-faced Poem.So,it contains full of items,enough to every one of us.
“ፍሉያት ኢና”. Yes, we are ፍሉያት as ppl the first in the world who have been working hard to extinct itself from the face of the earth .
Our fathers and grand fathers were not “ፍሉያት”.So when did we start to become’ ፍሉያት’?For some of us 1948,,,for some 1961,,,for some 1970 ,,,for some 1990 ,,,for some 1994 and for the very optimistic of us 2000-1(after G15)…according to our ego.
The question now is, what is to be done? so-that we can manage to survive as society in our rightful ancestors land ..Yes the fight must be for survival.No more no less.
