Since the death of Meles Zenawi, the leadership in Ethiopia has been constrained by lack of consensus and vision as how to proceed with no war no peace policy. Hence they would rather let the status quo continue than take bold initiative. This no war no peace policy between Eritrea and Ethiopia should come to an end really soon for the two brotherly people.

The new Weyane leadership is still continuing Meles Zenawi’s policy who said: “with time on our side, we will continue to strangle Issaias with ‘no war, no peace. This will cost us not a single soul, and Eritrea will sooner later fall on our laps.”
With the Arabs eating each other, Eritrea isolated more than ever and it young population leaving it in thousands, Meles zenawi’s prophesy is not far from the fact on the ground.

What else we expect them to state?
I think the said Minister for Defence stated the very obvious thing. We dot expect him to report their weakness or military inferiority. This is the basic ABC of Military Science. However, if you uncover it, the report signals one or more things. Firstly, one continues to beef up his line of defence when there is potential or imminent attack from his/her adversary. Secondly, if one is planning to carry out offense for any reason then he/she must bolster their offensive capability. Thirdly, the report itself can be seen as psychological attack on Eritrea while trying to buy in the support of the Ethiopian people mainly for the upcoming election. Remember that countries often undertake military parades or exercises to psychologically intimidate their adversaries and use it as a show of power.
Finally, we can take it just as a routine report not worthy of reporting by media outlets. Personally, I do not want to see any more bloodshed between these two countries. We have had enough. We are both bleeding everywhere notably in the arid deserts of the Sahara and in the shores of the Mediterranean.

Since that is the Ethiopian government firm stand, how can then the Ethiopian soil a favourite battlefield could be for so called Eritrean oppositions (EDA), and how can they trust, relay in Ethiopia and expect support from them? Is it really hard for them , as what it s the Ethiopian regime goal to understand? In my view unless the so called oppositions self have unionist agenda or anti Eritrean independence agenda, for every political learner is clear from the anouncment, weather the Ethiopian regime believes in Eritrean Independence or not to know.
I wish the Ethiopian regime changes its policy for the sake of peace and to accelerate the downfall of bandit regime in Eritrea, and then so that we start normal relation. The way for unity, only through, knowledge, mutual understanding, positive doing and thinking and LOVE man can achieve that, not by doing evil.
