The old ex Jebha affilated groups are very useless and outdated. Young Eritreans are sick and fed up to hear them or about them. For the sake of real democratic change in the region, the Ethiopian government should give more chances to the young and independent Eritreans more role in the leadership. Ethiopia should start then from the within the opposition.

The way to see if an article is worthy and credible by the assenna readers is to see the number of thumbs-up that one gets. Given this accurate measurement or range of public sentiment, these two artcles score the lowest:
    — Thank you TPLF, EPRDF, Ethiopia: ‘Enamesegenalen’ – By Dr. Mohamed Kheir;
    — ዓገብ ነዚ ሃገራዊ ጉባኤ ዝመጠጡ ሸነኻት by ENCDC, by the Commission
This shows the Kidan-Commission has no support out side of Addis Ababa. It has almost zero support in diaspora.
I live in a city of 4000 Eritreans and when the Kidan-Commission called for a meeting to discuss the upcoming October Conference, only ten people showed up, most grey-haired old ex-jebhas.
The Commission has to stop prpoganda lies and look itself in the mirror. The only way the kidan-Commission might able to see the outskirts of Asmara, i.e. if it is able to, is on the back of the Ethiopian army. Otherwise, it is an empty barrel or bado gerewegna!

“the Ethiopian government should give more chances to the young and independent Eritreans more role in the leadership. Ethiopia should start then from the within the opposition.”

      Lough My Arse Out! …..LOAL

Now it is abundantly clear to everyone that Woyane is the king maker in the so called “Eritrean opposition” aka “bunch of sellouts” lol.

You guys are getting funnier and funnier by the day.

    Z’kheberkum Assenna,

Please excuse my obtuseness. I am not sure if it is on your part or a built-in system but we can’t seem to comment more than a few words or sentences in one go. We have to post it on a cut and paste bases. Thought I should bring it to your attention. Thank you.

Although it shouldn’t be too short, limiting article sizes is not that a bad of idea, given that PFDJ supporters have been abusing the forum by cut-pasting book-size texts. 🙂

One of the reasons I love commenting on this forum as opposed to the other website(s) is that, you don’t have to go through social networks (Facebook or yahoo) to post a comment. Moreover, assenna makes it so easy for the interested audience to comment without having to long on or have an account. Hope Asmarino.com is reading this.

Amanuel, can you please comment what you think about what Dr. Bereket said on this video.

This is what Issaias has been telling Ethiopians and the world in the last 20 years. Two years ago Issaias pledged his full unreserved support for the unity of Ethiopia and Eritrea. Issaias told the Ethiopian opposition in Asmara that “… the sky is the limit … on the Eritrea and Ethiopia unity …”
You do not need to hear from assena, you had already heard this from Issaias, the dictator of Eritrea who is more Ethiopian through his bloodlines in Tembien than the average Ethiopian, so is Yemane Monkey, Hagos Kisha, yemane Charlie and many others ….

      • Weldit October 9, 2011

Good point. When Issaias says it, ppl like King maker applause. When someone els says it they get outraged.

    • Temesgen Medhanie October 9, 2011

He obviously said, we (Eritreans and Ethiopians) have more in common as opposed to differences. He is not subscribing to the re-annexation of Eritrea per se, rather he is emphasizing on the concept of a common destiny as people with a common culture and history. Some people are obviously trying to put words in the good doctor’s mouth so to speak. Eritrea is a sovereign nation where the wheel of history can not be reinvented.

Will kidan give rise to yet multiple political factions whose political views do not reflect the views of the majority of Eritreans? What would come out of a dissolved kidan?

  • Haq tarik October 8, 2011

This is what I read in one of the Ethipian web sites:
    ————————-
Isaias Afwerk on Ethio-Eritrea integration said : “… the sky is the limit”.

There is nothing wrong with this comment. The Eritrean leader Isaias Afewerk had said this many times before his war with the Woyannies. Isaias had told Elias Kifle in the interview he did in Eritrea. Isaias said recently “the sky is the limit” about the future integration of Ethiopia and Eritrea.
Yes, there are no more similar people the way the Eritreans and Ethiopins are. There are Tigre speakers in Ethiopia and Eritrea. There are Afars and Kunamas in both sides. We are the only people who use the same Tigre and Amharic writing system.
I have many very close Eritrean friends but almost none from Sudan, Kenya, Somalia. I would trust an Eritrean more than any other people.
The Eritrean leader, Isias Afewerk, is himself of a Tigraian origin and so many of his advisors. My own PM Meles Zenawi has an Eritrean mother, so are his advisors such as Bereket Simon, Yemane Jamaica, Fasil Nahom, Samora Younus … many.
Isaias is right: the sky is the limit, so is Dr. Bereket H. Selassie.
We were all foolish and stupid to kill each other. The Arabs had used us all as their condoms. We will not be their fools anymore.
Where are the Eritrean opposition based? in Addis Ababa!
Where are the Ethiopian opposition based? in Asmara?
Stupidity has no limits, Very funny

I actually think this is an poortunitu for the Eritreans to start afresh. When I say Eritrean I am focsed to the indivual who should may the choice to how d o we claim our freedeom and soverignitgy.

Personoally, we need to forgive and honor ex-combatants of eithe ELP and EPLF and it should be the rule we do not acccept any of their leadership into new governance of wheteher it is EGDEF or anhy one in the failure.

New names, new direction what this nation has sacrfied a lot at family, clan level that no one could brag on legitimacy. So we need to b reaclistic and move on and respect our martyrs this 50-60 years of plight and some one owns it.

My love to Eritreans is un limitied.

Kidan and HGDEF are two faces of the same coin. Give Kidan a chance to rule Eritrea, you will get another 20 or so years of authoritarian rule. Eritreans need a radical change. Eritreas should not have anything to do with any present or former tegadalay -all misery came to Eritrea as a result of a flawed tegadaly’s world view and political ideology. We don’t need any tegadaly to hold any government office in the future. When Eritreans (none tegadeltis) say Enough is enough….they mean they are done with “aregit atehasasiba”)–None tegadalti Eritreans want to embrace modernism, and need comprhensive overhauls of system of governance.
