Hey! Is that the old piazza at Keren? If so, they did a good job! I kept looking at the photo and noticed the good people just simply walk in the middle of the circular road [I counted 10] Ahhhhhhh ……nostalgia!

    • Tesfit March 31, 2015

That’s downtown Keren. It is a neat town.
Nothing much has been built during HGDEF’s quarter of a century rule.

It might not be today or tomorrow but the demise of the criminal regime is a sure thing.
We treated the criminal tyrant as a hero when he is not, we treated him as a great leader when he is not, we treated him as a savior when he is not, we treated him as the father of our liberation when he is not, sure enough he believed it too and with his inflated ego he became a menace to our society and source of suffering, agony, torture and death. His time is way overdue and we need to rise up to push this decaying tyrant and his criminal gangsters to their final grave.

      Selam Alem K.

You said it all right. BRAVO. This devilish regime and all those organ harvesting generals should disappear from the beloved Eritrea. Only then shall Eritrea be at peace within itself and with its neighbors.

Eternal Glory to our fallen Heroes

“The people are makers of their own Pharaoh”

An old Egyptian adage (Pharaoh = Dictator)

  • Berhe Azbaha April 1, 2015

    Hi Rezen,
You counted 10 people. I counted 0 cars, except for the parked ones.
Probably no fuel. Our society is deveoping rapidly backwords under the tyrrant. Sad.

    • rezen April 1, 2015

      Hi Berhe,
You tickled me to ‘death’! I am still shaking with muffled laughter. I love every word of that two-liner insightful humour. Thanks

        – Our people are hurting
        – Our people are dying
        – And you are laughing!!
        – This is not the time of hiding yourself behind a computer and making fun
        – You need to get your head checked you IDIOT!!

          Wedi Keren.

Dear brother , i feel your pain, about the people who are laughing and giggling like a little girl, shame on them, people like rezen, zofana, and Teklay, they grew up in our land, God knows what thy have been doing during durge and Hileslassie time. Do not worry about them , they can’t feel Eritreans pain, just like the Dictator does not feel it. The big problem is people like these are in the oppostion, they have noting but to distruct us from our struggle, do not mind them. HIZBI Eritrea kihalfelu eu, Eritrea kea KItnebir ya.

          • Wedi Keren April 1, 2015

            Eritrawit haftey,

Thank you. Eritreans like us “NOT ONLY HURTING” but we also get laughed at by the SOBs like this A*Hole. Sometimes I really wonder why God let us suffer and give this SBO and his likes a laugh. I believe in God but when I see this kinds of “HURT” my faith weakens.

I hope to see this rezen and his likes get exposed and suffer the pain we are experiencing.

Please like you give me some hope. I thank you my sister.

..and what I see is a bathtub curve. It could be just me.

  • Abate April 1, 2015

Eritrea and more specifically Tigrigna speaking Eritreans often negate their lineage and ancestry while other ethinic groups (Beja, Saho, Afar, Kunama, Blen) relish it. Tigrigna speaking Eritreans and more specifically PIA and his cohorts cherish colonialism, unlike other Eritreans and Africans, and feel proud and more civilized than their cousins across the border in Ethiopia, because of it even though they speak Tigrigna and not ‘Eritreagna” and have the same gene pool as the Tigray, they argue to the hilt that even before Italian colonialism that Eritrea and Eritreans distinctly separate and are different from Ethiopians or Abyssinians.

    • Mogos April 1, 2015

      Abate,
I don’t think they cherish colonialism, but civilization of Eritrea is tied to it. So you might have heard them “cherishing” colonialism because it has brought civilization to the country way ahead of any other neighboring country. But they also know that it was on the cost of the freedom and unknown resources manipulated by the colonizers.

Question for you though, why did you bring this irrelevant comment at this point?

      • Abate April 1, 2015

        My Dear Mogos
I do not think you understand what civilization is: for me the Abyssinian aka Ethiopian civilization is one of the oldest civilizations in the world. None except the Greeks, Chinese, Farsi and Mesopotamia or to some extent the Romans are as old as our people. It is clearly seen from the condition that existed when our people during the Axumite Empire have developed effective ways of organizing their political system and the responsible society and their care on art, science, etc. We know they were by far better, well-organized and developed society than the Italians. I brought this important issue as a wake-up call to people the likes of you.

  • ERITRAWIT April 1, 2015

    United Eritrean Democratic Front.
The action you are taking against this brutal regime it is given a moral and hope to our people. I am sure we will hear more from you.

  • Mogos April 1, 2015

I do understand what it means. It has a broad meaning depending on context. It could refer to the advancement of a society in science and technology, infrastructure, education ( I guess we can call it modern civilization as compared to the ones you mentioned) it is true that Eritrea and its society was very advanced on these areas because of colonization. You said “the Axumite Empire have developed effective ways of organizing their political system and the responsible society and their care on art, science,” you may be right in some aspects but… there was factories in Axum before it was in Italy or in Eritrea? there was Teleferica, no telephone, no Rail Roads… I can keep going. Just as how Axum still behind on civilaztion on this contex as of toady. It is just reality…S is Asmara, it is way behind as compared to Italy at the present time.

    • quiky April 1, 2015

There is no evidence of posetive contribution towards our current civilisation or humanity, infact the decendent of axumite are major victim of ignorance such as war hunger immigration. as abysinian i love my history and ofcourse proud but i am afraid i dont consider it special as in line of greeks and other marvels of history.

    • Teclay April 1, 2015

      Mogos //Abate

You conversation is better than the boring comments which always start and end with HGDF, Isaias ,Agame etc.

Abate, noting to add i agree with you fully.

Mogos, i agree with you partially.I do not think you understand Abate when he said civilization. You mentioned like Teleferica,Telephone ,Roads etc ,But these infrastructures have little value comparing to the ancient civilization, like Axumite ,Egyptian ,Mesopotamia,Persian etc.
The infrastructures you mentioned above can be planted in a single year by a mini million-er like “እንዳ ዐንሰባ” .but not ancient civilization. If one knows correctly ancient civilization helps to its right owners to stand high above others with respect, and you fill full human being .Unlike the superficial(ብልጭልጭ)infrastructures.
Let us see an example: You meet 2 Arabs in the West. You ask them where they came from (the most frequently asked question ),you found out one is from the richest country Qatar and the other is from the poorest country Egypt. You lay down your respect automatically to the Egyptian. Why? because of the ancient civilization
Thank you for both of you.

      • Mogos April 1, 2015

        Teclay,
I was not trying to compare the wonderful and mysterious civilization, value and legacy of the ancient civilization to the modern ones that I mentioned in Eritrea.
I was trying to answer Abate’s question ” …and feel proud and more civilized than their cousins across the border in Ethiopia….” Again I was trying to say that there was a civilization gap between the groups he mentioned. And I was trying to state the reason. Many Eritreans learned technology, example auto mechanics and before any one in Addis or Axum… And that can be considered civilization gap.
This is for Abate, plus Eritrea was separated from Ethiopia for about 60 years that is almost a generation during the consecutive colonizers. That could also have created a gap. trying to be realistic.

Thank you Teclay and Abate Nice to converse with you all
        have a blessed day !
Peace and justice to Eritrea and Ethiopia…
        Peace in the world !

      • Mogos April 2, 2015

        Tecley,

I want to say one thing on the sentence that you made to belittle the past value of
infrastructural and industrial civilization in Eritrea by saying this sentence

“The infrastructures you mentioned above can be planted in a single year by a mini million-er like “እንዳ ዐንሰባ””

I believe time is the essence here. Yes it may be possible to be done now days very easily as you said. But was it possible during that time? I am not sure if you are aware of the economics concept of the “time value of money”. In addition to that, okay lets say we can easily build it now days, but can you bring the generation of Ethiopia of that time who didn’t have all the civilization that Eritreans had experienced and experience it again.
The answer is no. in other words it is history made and it has its influence already on the people who lived during that time and of course to the generation following them.

According to your argument, lets say someone could duplicate all the historical monuments of any ancient era, is it possible for him to devaluate or to belittle the ones that were made 2000 years ahead of him?

Hope you understand what I am trying to say.

        have a blessed day !

Peace and Justice to Eritrea and Ethiopia and all our neighboring!
