    Dear brother/sister,
Since I do not have access to Geez alphabets, I am going to use English Alphabets.

I have lost 2 brothers for the purpose of Eritrean Independence. I thought they were martyrs of the country. However, when I evaluate the present situation, it has been crystal clear that all fighters who were with EPLF were the soldiers recruited to promote the dreams of Isayas Afewerki. All EPLF members, including the Generals and Ministers are the slaves of the president. They do what has been told for them by the dictator.

In 1991 we thought we got independence. However, EPLF came to Asmara with a dictator. This dictator has killed many innocent Eritreans during the Struggle. No one has asked why many fighters were put in prison indefinitely or were killed by the dictator.

Eritrean people thought EPLF was struggling to free Eritrea from colonizers and restore democracy in Eritrea. Since independence, the dictator has been killing people, putting into prison. Moreover, he put young Eritrean in an indefinite National Service and finally opened war with Ethiopia. He initiated war against Ethiopia.

Now Eritreans are fleeing the country since they do not have any bright future because of the dictator’s divide and rule principle.

Since independence for 24 years we talk , we complain for hand out result . Look
Arab young generation uprising and the recent Thailand young college students
political movement . Show a little manhood courage before you question the bravery
of your older brothers . Not talk rather action speaks the volume .
WHAT IS WRONG WITH ERITREANS TO HELD BACK FROM FIGHTING FOR THEIR RIGHT ?
IS THAT FEAR OR SELFISHNESS ?

    Dear Mihretu,
Your statement reminds me the radio report of Menghistu Hailemariam’s time!!!
Dear Habte, what you wrote is great!!! I always follow and wait for your GREAT POEMS AS ALWAYS!!! You are great and very expressive!!!
However, the comments from Mihretu Habte “The Noble Teacher” is actually trash and please forget about him!!!
I beg for all readers not to comment on the comments of Mihretu!!! His intention is to take our focus out!!!!

It is obviously immoral to politicize on someone else death like he tried to put it
his way without consideration to their loved once . I am sure he doesn’t feel that
way if it happened to his close family members .
But I support Assenna staff efforts to take upper hand control on monitoring this forum .
Because we observed some commentators abused their right to corrupt the environment and
it is time to say we had it enough . Those with double faced standpoint are bright to
deceive or to mislead . Take Issayas as a good example to learn about individual personality .
” MELHASOM MEAAR LIBOM LAMA “goes the saying .

Mr Habte your poem is not that much instructive and informative. You just want to echo to us the ugly side of exile or being refugee.
The youth who are taking all these harsh and risky measures is not because they loved that but they are forced to do that by the criminal regime in power. So if there is diamond or Gold in their hands why should they go in search of silver. Do you have any idea where is the mined gold going. Is it bringing any better life for the ordinary citizens in Eritrea. There is no bread, no electricity and no water, what do these young generation od you want them to do? They are not to be blamed. What I did not like of your poem is that it seemed for me as an offense for the dead. You are blaming the dead rather than the dictator and his generals who are making to be in military service the whole of their life. Tekohrmikah motte teankifka motte eyu negru entzeytewerazene bimuwutat Yihayish. It is not right residing in Holand and condemn others who aspire to be like you coming to Europe. What about you, why don’t you go to Eritrea and fight the regime rather than waiting and wanting others to take the sacrifice for you. What about your children, why don’t you send them to Eritrea and become beja for others. So decrease the tone of your poem so as not to offend the dead and their mothers. Personally I did not like the tone used in the poem. It has a negative connotation to write something like that to the dead. Apart from the political language you want to communicate, it does have a negative connotation in our culture to offend the passed ones. Whether what they have passed through or riskied their lives in deserts or seas that is their irreversible fate which nobody can change so do not add salt to the injuries.
