We wish ‘wedi Berad’ the same …

Nope Aron,I want him to be tried by the Eritrean people in an open market ab edga hamus, and before the judgment is served,I would like to see him covered with dust carrying medid and repent of his sins committed on our people. Then it is up to the grieved Eritrean people to do whatever they want to do with him, they can let him trek south of the border bare footed to his original village or hand him to the rashaida to be smuggled through the desert, let him taste his own medicine.Fair enough?

what about putting him in one of the worst prison holes that thousands of innocent Eritreans suffered in the hands of his notorious Halewa AssYas.

He left the country after he took time to extort millions of dollars for himself according accounts
    from transitional Gambia government .

Sure when people feel that they have little say over what government does and see that their government is not working for them democratically, it is natural to be distrustful, hostile, frustrate and disappoint with the political system. However, repeatedly to lay the blame solely for the unresponsive government is unacceptable. We need to accept undemocratic government is just the symptom; the ultimate source of this political illness lies in society at large.
Thus, for a society to be truly democratic, primarily all citizens including the government side/supporters must respect one another. This principle is what lies at the heart of a democracy. If we all have the same basic understand, by any means the government will respond to what most people want – and its actions are more likely to be in the public interest. If we want the government to live up to its potential as a force for good, we need to be as democratic as we can be; because the difference between a bad fight and a good fight is whether or not you reached a democratic solution.
Hence here is my suggestion: let allow PIA remain as the president AND his government be mandated for a period of one year to bring about a democratic constitution for transitional authority. To reach agreement on this transitional authority, acceptable mediators need to come into the process. To defuse accusations of biasness, representatives of AU and UN mediators can be included. Then, the transitional government no matter what the make-up thereof, as long as it has come about through acceptable arrangements to the people of Eritrea must be assist by the international community, the AU and UN who, in addition providing financial and humanitarian assistance, and special envoys to monitor the successful functioning of the transitional authority.
For this process to move forward, a level of maturity (lacking till hitherto) on the part of all concerned in Eritrea and the international community, is needed. The transitional government is not about scoring political points or a contestant for power, but a mechanism to facilitate the ushering in of a legitimate government. The PIA/PFDJ government will have to wait to test their level of support, and thus power; until a new round of elections are held. By then, they may just be willing to share power in a government of national unity. Thanks

Gezae writes,’the PIA/PFDJ government will have to wait to test their level of support…..’ are you reading the books of Marquis De Sade, you just sentenced the Eritrean people life without parole.Where in the world do you come up with these ideas?

        • Gezae January 24, 2017

If I am not wrong, the awareness of your everyday anger I guess is that the PIA undemocratic government is working for the few, does not have public interest what fuels hostility, frustration and disappointment with the political system in Eritrea. So that I do not understand your problem if I contribute my point of view of solution.Anyhow I do not know your understand about but i believe a transitional government is precisely what it sounds like: a temporary government that is established while a country is transitioning from one regime to another routine of this nature. However may fall midway between an established democracy and non-democracy. So that the PIA/PFDJ government will have to wait to test their level of support…does that conveys you a really disappointing message?

          • k.tewolde January 25, 2017

Gezae, this brutal, incompetent, mediocre regime has been agonizingly transitioning for the last 25 years and wiping out the important asset-the youth along the way and failed in every aspect of governance, what kind of litmus test can prove to you better than this apocalyptic scenario we witness in our homeland today? or you assume the attitude like those who say,’it is bad,but it is not that bad..’ sipping their machiatto in a sidewalk cafe and haul ass back to the west the next day.

You are out of touch from reality to deny the agony and anger of Eritrean people under the mercy
of authoritarian government for the last twenty five years .
” you said to lay blame for unresponsive government is unacceptable ” . Well can I use recent term
of D. TRUMP government argument of alternative facts to respond on your claim ‘ HGDF illegal indefinite imprisonment, indefinite national service , lack of freedom and unnecessary killings and causes of refugees
miseries has nothing to do with government policy ‘ . You try to blame wrongs on social ills where crime
never been tolerated in Eritrean civil society . People can stand firm in their belief or switch sides after years
of frustrated situation the body surrender at confused politics that lead to unrealistic convictions .

Brother, I did not say that; you designedly or deliberately read between the lines to manipulate readers’ emotions in order to get them accept OR to generate feelings in readers so that these feelings will get them to act a certain way. However, your tactics to incite emotions in does not serve as evidence for what I wrote. Please, read me carefully.
