Firstly although I have difference of belief of things ,I would like to use the approach part GENET rendered me as a good advice ,At times I let my anger gets the best of me ,so , thank you GENET from the heart.
I feel sad Eritrean youth have extremely few role models to look up to .Some prescribe Carrit cake for people that have no even dry bread to eat.Some are busy blaming the President .My advice is ..
1) Do not blame the president ,he always had an agenda & he is determined to make it .According to my Lay man´s extensive ¨research ,I find it to be ,Isaias´s plan has always been to rule the ¨old¨ Ethiopia and become ¨king¨of the region ,we are just disposable condoms .But ,You young people need to have a winning strategy.
1A )know your identity ,it is very important ,know your village Wereda ,Awraja ..Ethnic —weather that ethnicity extends to Sudan ,Djibouti or Ethiopia …that does not change your national identity ,ERITREAN ..,WHY WOULD I SAY THAT ?
Well ,If you do not respect or accept your tribal /ethnic identity ..how are you going to respect other peoples (specially minorities) that their ethnic identity means everything.
The majority ¨Hizbe Tigrinya¨specially need to have a big heart & accomodate others .What do I loose if a JEBERTI becomes a unique Biher ,Nothing ,If it brings national reconciliation ,WHY NOT.Why does thec majority (my tribe) want to prescribe condituions for JEBERTI .? ARE WE THE NEW AMHARA of the old regime of Ethiopia.
2)Do not label one Ethiopian or Agame ,just becausae that person has a different idea ,that is just an idea. Provided people won´t organize wanting a religious home land or Afars weanting to depart with ASSAB, as some people suggest .Let us give regional Autonomy to such hurt people …let us heal them ,instead of telling them what & how they ought to be.
For example ,I am against Eritrea & Ethiopia becoming one ,as as a matter of principle ,I WOULD BE MORE HAPPY TO SEE US as ONE COUNTRY ,..but ,practically ,it may not be a good idea ,so ,I AM WILLING TO COMPROMISE with the majority ,but ,I will not any human being censoring my thought or belief ,as long as I adhere to the majority rule & minority rights principle ,nobody can be more Eritrean than me .PERIOD !!!
2)Believe in solution. You could be as sick as guy with a testacular cancer for our country ,but if thing you do is write denouncing PFDJ ,or ISAIAS ,it does not take you anywhere ,I ASSURE YOU ,with the exception of few ,Eritrean youngsters..you are on your own ,use books,internet research & commonsense ,otherwise what you hear from Eritrean elders is most likely invented histories with no base ,emotional Jibrish ,baseless pride infested mambo jambo. DO NOT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT .I have my belief & you do your own research .Ask if certain things were worth ¨sacrificing ¨for ,but ,be honest with yourselves.
Always concentrate on what is being said ,not on what you think or prejudiced is being said ,Do not play the LABELLING game.
You saying hurtful things may hurt some obne´s feelings,say sorry when you admit it truly .You are not the3 Guilty party ,it is the ones that are doing the killings ,the old people that enabled it & the useless opposition that play partisan politics with your life .

Your advice to the youth is brilliant. It’s factual and anyone who has been following how Isias got where he is would agree 100/100. Isias’s has written a guideline for a successful dictator: On Mengistu Halemariam: he said Mengistu went wrong on two main points:1.Mengistu did not understand the power of divide and rule – If he had set the Amahara against Oromo and Oromo against Tigrayns; and Eritrean Hamasen against the rest of Eritrean; he would have still been ruling Ethiopian. On the starvation front, he said Mengistu did not fully exploited the Kibon. On the massacre and cuuelty, he said Mengistu was soft on the parents who’s children went to Meda, and he allowed relatives to visit prisoners. Control on his generals: Isias said Mengistu made one cardinal fatal mistake – he appointed educated generals who could easily separate wrong from wright, moral from immoral. This has turned him against him. In short it’s a very interesting read for those aspire to be the perfect inhumane dictator.

I want you to know that I adrerssed my first comment to you & Mighty Embasoyra because we may not agree on everything ,but I have respect for your opinion& that of mighty .There is one thing I could not make it clear enough ,is that the slave mentality does not generalize to all Eritrean people .I only know my ethnic ¨Hizbe Tigrinya¨ mentality.And to some extent the Tigre & Bilen people .
I am 55 years old ,if you are younger you may not understand with what kind of menrality we grew up & how our fathers acted (the city elites).
I really would like to make sure that you erroneously understand to mean all Eritreans is by no means that ,but the makers & shakers of the things that happen ,the ¨main stream¨ influenced & influencing people ,so that I will share my experience of what I call ¨slave mentality¨.
I want us to exchange ideas & debate ,without getting personal ,because if it is personal ,I will lose ,I have made mistakes +++++++ on my married life & even social life. I hope your change of heart, regarding to be open to constructive criticism is not about damage control.
You made reference to your father’s generation action and behavior, to how you feel about the Eritrean people. You are 55 yo. In the 21st century, if you live in the western world, you are not that old. If you consider yourself a true Eritrean man without but or if, you can’t give up on your country and people. At the age of 55, you can’t say to young Eritreans, “you are on your own” As a middle age true Eritrean man, what is your purpose or legacy? In any society, people express pride, disappointment or shame of the previous generations. Some do better than their parents; some cont. with feeling of bitterness and despair, as a result they become a problem than part of a solution.
I carefully read your posts, and I am not sure I understand what you stand for, when it comes to the current Eritreans’ issue. You do spend a lot of time on this forum; You must care about some thing. I am not sure 100% yet. Don’t give me wrong, I think you are wise and funny man. I appreciate your humor. It is fun to communicate “waza- mes-qumenger”. However, your ambiguous thought process has been annoying, irritating and down right insulting to many concerned Eritreans including my self. No body gave to any Eritrean the right to insult and put down our country or any group of people in Eritrea. I agree with your point that we gain wisdom from constructive criticism. We can always start over and agree to disagree on issues.
Allow me to explain what I mean about your ambiguous thought process. On July 19 at 6:14 pm, you said, to young Eritrean “You are on your own” You advice to young people is not to blame Isaias because he never cared about Eritreans. I am sure every Eritrean with a stable mind will agree with you that he never cared about us. However, The ambiguity comes in Why not blame him? why not hold him accountable? why not reject his action against our people and country now? It is obvious now to any one that Isaias’s burring desire to be the old Ethiopian’s king, like his great-great- uncle, Atse Yohannes of Tiray will never happen. The possibility of that happening is dead. What is the point?

Thanks for your constructive criticism & allow me to expaned on my thoughts .I do not wish separate Eritreans ,I want us to be united like salad as opposed to a juice of mixed fruits ,because that creates the dominant fruit to steal the flavor (voice) of others .
I am prescribing my solution to heal the minorities to get regional autonomy without separating from the motherland, Eritrea.So that they can have a voice ,if jeberti can present their more recent than all ethnics unique situation ,what do I lose? Actually I gain ,I do not have to shove identity or language they believe alien to their identity. On what ground am I prescribing my believe on Jeberti´peoples of eritrea. Specially when my ethnic group has divorced it self from the ethnic Tigray that it belonged ?I am not sure if that is your point of me wanting to divide Eritrea /Eritreans ?
I am not sure rebuking the old age bracket that I belong too is insult to Eritrean people ,I believe Eritreans also include non Tigrinya people & young Tigrinya people that I do not include in my harsh criticism.
However as you could not see my point of separatin… my age group Eritreans (not all)..and the populace of Eritrea ,I can only do so much.

At this time, any one wishs that Eritrea was part of Ethiopia seems to be due to separation anxiety. Some people from Tigray and Tigrayn-Eritrean have some anxiety of being alone with the rest of Ethiopians. The cont. argument of Tigryan people from Eritrea and Tigray from Ethiopian people are the same people is lossing its meaning. How Eritrea gets its independence is not relevent any longer. The point is that Eritrea is independent country. So Tigray people are not Ertitreans. They are proud Ethiopians. I think those people who are stuck between Eritrea and Ethiopia have to make a choice. They need to stop trashing Eritrean people. If any one who is half and half and not comfortable yet with being an Eritrean, I say make a choice. But stop being a problem and spoiler for Eritrean people. again,
