ኣብ ዋሺንግቶን ዲሲን ከባቢኡን ዝረከቡ፡ ኤርትራውያን ደለይቲ ዲሞክራስን ፍትሕን፡ ሰንበት ጥሪ  5, 2019፡ ጉባኤ ኣካይዶም። ኣብቲ ጉባኤ፡ ኣባላት ንጉዳይ ኤርትራ ዝምልከቱ፡ዝተፈላለዩ ዛዕባታትውን ኣልዒሎም ዘትዮም።  ኣብ ዝሓለፈ ዓመት ኣብ መንጎ  ኤርትራን ኢትዮጵያን ዝተኸተመ ስምምዓት ብምድህሳስ፡ ንሱ ዝፈጠሮም ብድሆታት፡ ዕድላትን፡ ሓደጋታትን በብሓደ ርእዮም። ርሱን ዝኾነ ክትዓት ዝተገብረሉ ከምዝነበረውን ኣብኡ ዝተሳተፉ ኣባላት ሓቢሮም። ህዝቢ ትርጉም ዘለዎ ለውጢ ብዘይምርኣዩን፡ ኣብ ስልጣን ዘሎ ስርዓት፡ ንኻልእ ዝተፈልየ ፖልቲካዊ ኣረኣእያን ዘለዎም ሰባት፡ ዕድል ንኽህብ ዱሉውነት ከምዘየርኣየ ኣረጋጊጾም። ብዙሓት ካብ ተሳተፍቲውን፡ ሕጂ ልዕሊ ኹሉ ግዜ፡ ልኡላውነት ኤርትራ ኣብ ሕቶ ምልክት ኣትዩ ከም ዘሎ፡ ስክፍታ ከምዘለዎም እውን ገሊጾም።  ኣብዚ እዋን ንድሕነት ህዝቢ ኤርትራን፡ ንጉዳይ ዲሞክራሳውነት ሃገርን ቀዳምንት ክርእይዎ ከምዘለዎምን ኣገንዚቦም።

ኣብቲ ጉባኤ፡ ኣካየድሊ ቦርድ ዝነበሩ፡ ጸብጻብ ናይ ዝሓለፉ ክልተ ዓመታት፡ ኣቕሪቦም። እቲ ጸብጻብ፡ ተመክሮን፡ ብልጫታትን፡ ጸገማትን ዝድህሽ ኮይኑ፡ ነቶም ሓደሽቲ ቦርድ ለበዋታትውን ሂቦም። ስዒቡ፡ ተኻፈልቲ እቲ ጉባኤ ንኽልተ ዓመት ዘገልግሉ፡ ሓደሽቲ ትሽዓተ ዝኣባላታ ኣካየድቲ ቦርድ መሪጾም። ድሕሪኡ፡ እቶም ተሳተፍቲ ንዝነበሩ ኣባላት ቦርድ ብምምስጋን፡ ምስቶም ሓደስቲ ኣባላት፡ ክተሓጋገዙ ሙኻኖም ገሊጾም፡ እቲ ጉባኤ፡ ምክብባር ዝመልኦ፡ ሕውነታዊ መንፈስ ከምዝነሮ ንሕብር።

The board of EDJ-DMV convened via teleconference on 01/22/2019 at 9:00 PM. The meeting was called to address the concerns of some members regarding the name change, mission statement and action plan. The teleconference lasted for about one hour and seven out of nine board members were in attendance. The following conclusions were reached at the end of the meeting. The board members reaffirmed that EDJ -DMV singular mission is to organize the Eritrean community of the DMV to help bring about the removal of the dictatorial regime in Eritrea and installation of a democratically elected government.

The board members welcomed the input from the members and expressed a desire to address all the concerns that were raised. The board members will call for a general meeting in three weeks. The venue and date will be released as soon as possible.  The members decided to postpone the name change and registration until the members meeting where it will be debated and decided by a vote. The board agreed to form a working group composed of board members as well as members to work on the bylaws, mission statement and action plan in an expedient manner. The board members decided to continue working to prepare for May 25th and get started on membership drive while simultaneously addressing these issues.
